In this decorative paracord project we will be making a peace sign pendant using the snake knot also known as a two strand wall knot. It can be used as a hanging ornament using a simple overhand knot or the more decorative diamond knot at the top to make a loop. If you tie the top strands with an adjustable knot you can have it as a pendant for a necklace.
Instead of bending the legs down you can have them horizontal and make a paracord cross.

That is the symbol for death & war. The true peace symbol has arms pointing up to represent the tree of life and true peace. It is also why the hand symbol is two fingers up not down. Thank you.✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌up

That symbol is a broken cross, and quite offensive to those who love the Lord. Odd that it should be called a peace sign, eh? Not surprised that it would require the use of serpent knots in its making.

ronald hampton from what i just googled, that's inaccurate. It is supposedly designed in 1958 and derived from the "nuclear disarmament" flag signals. But thanks for sharing the info!! I never knew of this controverse before. So a big thanks for speaking up :)

Stop trying to find a reason to be offended. We generally use symbols today based off of their modern connotations. The Christian crucifix would be way more offensive if we associated it with it's past.

I needn't try, I love my Lord. The crucifix is not Christian. My Lord lives today, and the emaciated feminine form on a crucifix also offends anyone who loves God. As for the use of symbols, this too is offensive to a Christian who has not been blinded to where these symbols are from. I do not care who uses them, they are offensive. As for the past, blame the Roman Catholic Church, the owner of the crucifix for those things in which they have done, Christians have had n part in these things.

Quit being foul, and dig deeper. There are many symbols which have been recycled, and re-used for whatever purpose. You suppose because you can do a quick search, find some propaganda set forth from who knows who, and call me names? That is ignorant, and common.
