Watched Purna Bahadur ko Saarangi yesterday and I was not impressed. Even my mom also did not like it much. I really think it was overhyped. Leap paxi Prakash Saput as "Kanchha" was disappointing. Mero ta immersion nai break vo. I would say Bijaya Baral was the heart of the movie. Who could say this is the same guy from Kabbadi? I hope he won't be typecasted though. I can already see many makers trying to make movies like PBKS after it's success.

12 gaun was a bad movie. It was not just bad it was terrible. Please let's make a good quality nepali movie hit, not movies like that. Man, the acting of of those actresses was terrible. The story was very basic. There are some scenes where I feel were shot by phone cameras. The fights were very repeating. There were no emotions from the actors and actresses. Sida kura vanda yo film bakwas thyo.

Chakka Panja worked (no wonder on that) Jwai Saab worked because of the whole controversy thing between Deepak and Jeetu 12 Gaun worked because Nepal always had a huge audience for action movies and may be the movie has the mass appeal like the one made in south. Purna Bahadur worked because it is genuinely a good movie that taps your emotion. There had been such genuniely good movies made in Nepal before such as Pashupati Prasad.

Sarangi movie is a "ghisipiti" social stigma conservative nepali story that is still alive secretly in our community. It applies to 6ka 5nja too (which is being milked for far too long, good for dipak giri, i guess🙄🙄) Nepalese are too sympathetic being, last bichara, oho bhanni samajik prani. Instead of getting caught in these type of stereotype culture, we need to step up and be realistic and look for opportunity, grab it and progress ahead. Esta "ghisipiti" kahani ka dinn gae aba, that was 30, 40yrs ago. Aba progressive society and being huni bela ho. Kati aljhini ho tehi purano jaatjaati, dhani/garib, literate/illiterate ko jalo maa?? I actually quite enjoyed "behuli from meghauli". It had some level of sociological perspective. Sadly i think "sarangi" was a very smart movie business wise. All closup scenes, few famous actors and constant "runchay" story that viewers were too invested into that they couldn't come out of the sorrows of the characters and forgot what a "package" movie should be like. Give a few months, and no one will talk about "sarangi" whereas movie like "behuli from meghauli" will resonate at least for few years. I think its time we make a better progressive or modern movie which can stand out up to the level of Hollywood. Bhayo vo yo "ghisipiti" bata ali maathi utham aba.
