@@jackdolphy8965 lol People have been using diluted bleach to sanitize things (including RV water tanks) for many decades, and it hasn't destroyed anything or killed anyone.. Who is paranoid? Bleach diluted at the proper rate and used in the proper time intervals is completely safe. This is just a commercial for his new sponsor. It would have been more genuine for him to say something like "hey bleach is fine to use but if you want to try something different here is this new product" instead he went full send with suddenly STOP USING BLEACH or it will basically destroy your RV and/or kill you.. loses some credibility there.. sorry just true.

Bleach is actually used in water treatment facilities to clean drinking water. As long as it’s diluted it it’s fine. 2 ounces per 15 gallons is what the EPA recommends. Diluted bleach won’t hurt you either. Your first video using bleach is perfectly fine and acceptable. Additionally, diluted against plumbing for 8-12 hours won’t harm anything. I guess it gets a bad rap, but along with vinegar it’s one of the best sanitizers on the planet. The key is the dilution rate.

I've been wondering this for some time, then read an article that confirms that BLU'S BLEACH FREE is what you need... I switched after seeing this video and doing another of research! Take a look as to what I found: Using bleach to clean your RV lines can be problematic for several reasons: 1. **Corrosion**: Bleach is a strong chemical that can cause corrosion to the metal parts of your RV's plumbing system and other components. This can lead to leaks and damage over time. 2. **Chemical Residue**: Bleach can leave harmful residues that are difficult to flush out completely. This can contaminate your fresh water supply and potentially be harmful to your health when drinking or cooking. 3. **Fumes**: Bleach releases chlorine gas, which can be hazardous when inhaled, especially in the confined spaces of an RV. It can cause respiratory issues and other health problems. 4. **Compatibility Issues**: Many RV systems are made from materials that may not be compatible with bleach, leading to breakdown or failure of parts over time. 5. **Alternatives Available**: There are many RV-specific cleaning products available that are safer and more effective for cleaning lines without the risks associated with bleach. For these reasons, it’s better to use RV-friendly products that are specifically designed for cleaning and sanitizing water systems. After looking up Blu's Bleach Free and consulting my cousin who's a plumber... who confirmed Blu's bleach free was way more safe for my RV and better at cleaning my system! I went out and bought some AND I'LL NEVER USE BLEACH AGAIN! So what you stated isn't true. Your house pipes aren't the same as your RV lines and such. Just my two cents... by WhyWait wouldn't eat his own words for nothing. He's one of the rare honest reviews! Fan here! 😊

If I understood correctly, you ARE sanitizing through the hot water heater? My wife hates the bleach method. She can detect the smell/ taste for many days, no matter how well I have flushed the system. I've even stealthy sanitized, and she still can sense it. I am excited to try this new protocol. I agree $10+ per packet is pricey, but the link you sent for 24 packs at $77 dollars ($3.20/packet) is in range. After all, one trip to the doctor for a bacteria infection will cost much more ( and not just in dollars and cents). Thanks for the review. I haven't seen anything else like this out there.

It can be used for RV water systems to help maintain clean and fresh water. -This sanitizer concentrate is designed to be used periodically to clean water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, and water coolers. For an RV water system, the frequency of use can vary based on usage and water quality. Many customers recommend using it every 2-3 months to help keep the system clean and fresh. You can always contact Blu Technology if you have any concerns. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 goblutech.com/collections/accessories/products/blu-tech-bleachfree-rv-sanitizer-liquid-concentrate-for-rv-plumbing-system-holding-tank-and-water-softeners Straight from the companies brochure too…. Sani-System eliminates 99.9% of harmful micro-organisms. When used as directed, Sani-System kills bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus (Staph), Escherichia coli (E. coli), Listeria and other micro-organisms that grow on the untreated surfaces of water quality equipment. It eliminates odors and SANITIZES LINES, HOSES, AND TANKS. Specialized products similar to Sani-System are commonly used in restaurants, food processing plants and medical facilities to sanitize drinking glasses, food preparation equipment and other hard surfaces. Do you have a video on 5th flex issues or do you know of a presenter that's covered the flex issue in detail? Is there any videos on buying an older 5th wheel camper like 10 yrs or older? Lots of different RVs out there and styles of water systems. Blu Technology says to reach out to them on their website if you don’t have a filtration system and need help with the Sani pack. I would just mix one packet at a time with 5 gallons of water in a bucket and pump it into your fresh water tank or pour it into the tank if you have that style. Then let it sit 15-20 mins then run it through all your lines till no more foaming. Then fill the tank again with water and then dump it.

Here’s what they say on their website… B. SANITATION WITH BLU TECHNOLOGY FILTRATION SYSTEM - FRESH WATER HOLDING TANK Follow steps 1-3 above. 4. Connect the outlet of Blu Technology’s Filtration System to the tank fill or put your system in tank fill mode. NOTE: This can include the Blu Technology Water Softener, Hoses and Accessories inline. 5. Turn on the water source to the RV. 6. Fill your fresh water holding tank completely. 7. Allow sanitation solution to set in the tank for 15 minutes. 8. Drain the tank completely using the low point drain. 9. Close the low point drain 10. Refill your fresh water holding tank with water again to flush. 11. Drain the tank completely using the low point drain. 12. Close the low point drain. 13. Your system is now disinfected. You can always contact them with that question though. They are good about helping out.

As full time RVers with a washer machine and lots of water usage our grey tanks are kept open 24/7. This method is even recommended by the highly popular RV Digest company as you can read about in this link. cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2034/4709/files/PDF_CMG008_Full-time_RVing_The_Definitive_Guide_to_Treating_Your_Tank_1a3d5344-7e3e-40b8-8368-e7a7cff72f21.pdf?v=1644427380 But even if we had the greys closed running water for 20 mins straight would not fill our tanks up. We have a flow meter and even with good water pressure 20 mins of running water is about 35-40 gallons.
