Reading through the comments I see that there’s a lot of people haven’t done their confirmation so I don’t feel too bad. For me the fact that nowadays you need to be older to do it is the reason why we don’t follow up and stop at first communion. Maybe finding a church where you feel comfortable and fit in is an option. Currently working on that myself.

I got married by catholic church 2yrs ago and i had already had the female sterilization procedure 10yrs ago when i was unaware of birth contraception and the catholic beliefs. The priest explained to me during confession that times have changed and its important to be responsible with family planning…

I need to go and take my 17 yr old. Last time I step foot in Mexico was 2001. N my mom took me to pay a manda for receiving my kidney transplant. It’s been 23 yrs this year.

I recently got married & we are believers of god but we didn’t get married by church lol we felt like the church treats it like a business & we didn’t like the vibe so we did the ceremony at our reception with a pastor. And I wouldn’t trade that for the world ❤️ it was beautiful. Wherever you guys decide to get married at god is EVERYWHERE & it’s not mandatory to do it by church!

I would say follow your heart in wether getting married through Church or not. I did get married through Church because I thought about my future kids, which I have two now. I want to be able to teach them about God and church and set a good example for them. I want them to know God the way I do. Sometimes I feel like religion is slowly dying off because it’s easier to live without rules and fear of God. That’s my opinion, but I know that whatever you guys decide, God will be the center of yalls marriage and y’all will be blessed.

Omg I 100% agree with Lily about the church. You don’t need the church to have faith. And I also don’t drink milk like that. I think Cow milk is meant to help supplement the baby calf.

I'm not really religious at all but I do want to get married at church. Religion is overwhelming but I think it's the people that make it a bad rep. I think everyone can pick and chose how they want to follow it. I go to classes de pareja w my partner and it has helped us alot. I don't go to church tho lol I hope you get married in church it's definitely different through el civil

Most churches are actually not strict about it. Most don’t even ask for the marriage paperwork. I know from experience lol

In my experience, they ask if the godparents are a couple (not my case), if so that’s when they ask for the proof of religious marriage. They also asked for proof of the classes you need to attend for godparents.

May God bless your marriage. ❤️ The sacrament of marriage is important in my opinion but its up to yal. I see getting married by church as sacrament and blessing by God. A marriage is God the husband and wife. 🙏❤️ You also have to think about when you have kids one day would yal want to baptize your baby etc. 🙏

We got married through church para recibir la bendición de Dios. Im Catholic but don’t go to church often. I am a believer. I would suggest get married by church when your heart desires and not por compromiso.
