Hi. This is Mom and I absolutely loved Wicked and seeing it with my Blondetourage daughters was so much fun. I also thought it was magical and Defying Gravity is simply outstanding! Cynthia Erivo is a gorgeous and extremely talented actress from England. Her voice gave me chills. Ariana Grande is also a beautiful actress with an amazing voice. Yes, their chemistry added to 0:14 the incredible film. And ladies, Peter Dinklage was a great character. 😊 The film is just awesome and funny at times, but also sad. The message was lovely and reinforced my belief that if someone can believe in you, you can achieve greatness. This film will be a favorite of mine; I can’t wait to see it again. Great review! ❤

glad u guys loved wicked! honestly, i do applaud the length of the movie. the play feels rushed to me, and by splitting it into two adding more character depth, excerpts from the book & extending the songs i think it feels more cinematic that way
@blondetouragereviewsАй бұрын
I can totally see that and I absolutely loved the character depth and how cinematic it was. I will admit, our theater seats weren’t the most comfortable so that could’ve been the problem as well.

Ariana Grande really shocked me, too! I wasn't expecting her to act that well. I'm also shocked by her voice. I didn't expect her to go all out like that, lol.

We had no idea! She’s unbelievable!

This movie really surprised me! I too had no real knowledge of Wicked outside of it being related to the Wizard of Oz, which I have vague memories of as a kid. But this really might be the movie of the year for me, I'm still reeling from how AMAZING it is and that's after having already it seen it multiple times! Everyone was completely outstanding!! The film didn't feel long at all for me, those 3hrs flew by so quick. I'm lucky in that I already knew this was a two parter so I anticipated the cliffhanger but totally get how you felt Angela, because that was essentially the exact reaction I had with Spiderverse of last year, which we still have no idea when the next part will release. At least part two for Wicked is already done and ready to go for next year, I'm so excited for it!

The tears I shed from the ozdust ballroom scene was unreal. There was so much being said with Cynthia in that moment with the amount of depth she put into Elphabas pain and her strength to endure the humiliation

She’s actually right, they planted 9 million tulips, those were not poppies.
@blondetouragereviewsАй бұрын
Omg really?!? But were they supposed to be poppies? Lol
@Simon-fc8yiАй бұрын
@@blondetouragereviewsno, they’re meant to be tulips. Poppies do play a part in the movie, but in Munchkinland they planted all those tulips. Glad you loved the movie 😁

I saw the play on broadway 20 years ago and loved it. But this movie built a world so immersive and wonderful, I just wanted to live inside the world of the movie and not leave.
@everlastingpass1onАй бұрын
There are "animals" in the play. Dr Dillamond in the play is traditionally played by a man with goat makeup on his face, who sings 'Something baaaaadd happening in Oz'. I think the lion cub was a stuffed animal, but it was so long ago that I saw it I cant remember.
@shaunfleming5860Ай бұрын
Okay question for you too. How's it different from the play to the movie?
@PvydrowАй бұрын
barely any big changes at all, they add more details to the dialogue and add certain parts in some songs to fit better with the shots and direction, but they're all tasteful and well made, it's a very faithful interpretation of the play

Thank you for explaining bc I couldn’t remember!

Thank you. Cuz I was debating whether to bring my son. We ha e been playing the soundtrack in the car. That run time is way too long for an 8 years tho. Defies gonna wait till it hits rental
@blondetouragereviewsАй бұрын
Idk… I don’t want to take away you seeing it with your son on the big screen. Maybe ask some people you know that already saw it if your son could handle it. We just saw so many young ones fidgeting in their seats.
@alwaysbamАй бұрын
@blondetouragereviews the only thing that worries me is the run time. Hell. I admit I caught fews 💤 during all of ONE short day. 😆 had no idea where that song came from whe. It came up on the soundtrack.

thanks. Nice review. I like the idea they basically build theme parks and then put the actors in it and make the movie.... save the sets and throw them into expansions at Universal or Disney-- I say. lol.

We would totally go! That’s an amazing idea!

Sorry but I disagree..this movie is for all ages. I grew up watching long movies, like Titanic and Harry Potter, and I never minded the length of the movie one bit, if anything I enjoyed it more even as a kid. I think it’s very strange how shorten our attention spans have gotten to the point where, a 3 hour movie is seen as a bad thing.
@blondetouragereviewsАй бұрын
I love long films as well. That wasn’t the only reason we said it wasn’t for kids. I think there were some upsetting and frightening scenes as well. And just seeing all the young children fidgeting in their seats and talking towards the last half hour, that was our takeaway. Don’t get us wrong, we loved the film. And quite frankly, I don’t even know what they could cut bc everything was wonderful.

Nah parents just need to learn how to make their children behave, I have add and my brother have adhd, and we watched long films… in fact my favorite movie growing up was the sound of music, it was so long it came on two vhs tapes and I would sit down and watch both… also this movie is very important for children to see because one of the themes is bullying…. Yall kept tryna shield kids from seeing movies like this and this is why they go to school and treat others badly… stop shielding them from art that can teach kids how to treat people kindly
@blondetouragereviewsАй бұрын
This movie won’t stop bullying. Good parenting will! We aren’t trying to shield anything or tell people what to do. It was our opinion. You do you, boo! 💚🩷
