WICKED STUTTGART STAGE DOOR!!! FABULOUS!!!

GUTEN TAG!!! Wicked in Stuttgart was one of my FAVOURITE times of seeing WICKED...I did study German at school so that definitely helped me, but even so-it was a very passionate interpretation and I LOVED it so MUCH!!!
Willemijn Verkaik was a BRILLIANT Elphaba and Katrin Lobbert was the stand by for Glinda and she was AWESOME-VERY funny!!! Andrea Casati was also a hilarious "Moq"...not "Boq" in Germany!!!
That was my 14th time...can't wait for 15!!!

I can't understand how people cannot like this video (did they miss the like-button or something?). In my opinion it's such a wonderful video. To have English-speaking people here in Germany watching Wicked and giving a positive feedback is such an honour for us, the producers and the entire cast. Thank you! :)

Willemijn is awesome as Elphaba! I saw her last week in Oberhausen with Anton Zetterholm as Fiyero - I hab goose bumps when they sang "As Long As Your Mine". Willemijn has such a passionate voice and she truly lives the role of Elphaba.

Last Saturday I saw Katrin Löbbert as Glind too. She was gorgeous. I love how she played the part.

thank you soooo much for posting this jewelchic!!!! i have seen wicked all around the world too - london, new york, melbourne and stuttgart!! willemijn is my favourite elphaba, and indeed was the reason i WENT to stuttgart, but when i went there, i had her understudy roberta valentini (she was phenomenal though) but i agree, watching wicked in a different language puts a different spin to it.

I saw this when I was in Stuttgart as well, and was fortunate to see Willemijn as Elphaba. You are so right! She puts so much passion into her character. I love her! :D Thank you for uploading this! It was great to "see" her again.

Isnt Willemijn so awesome? I've only seen videos of her, and I am so moved by the powerfulness in her voice! I'm so relieved that she can speak English, because I left a note on her website, and I ope she got it. Also, in the catfight, I always have heard that she does a freakish squeak at the end of her laugh. "Moq". . .how very interesting.

it's interesting that they have two programs. patrice tipoki, the australian understudy for elphaba, is also an ensamble member. for good in german is absolutely beautiful!!! i also love glinda's lyrics in the english version, it's all so moving :') i should have seen it when i went to germany!! but it was about a month before i saw it the first time in london :P

Wow! I'm so envious that you got to see it in Stuttgart--amazing!! And totally a privilege to see Willemijn, right? ;D I've heard her from the Die Hexen album as well as other musicals she's been in, and her voice, no joke, is one of the best I've ever-EVER heard. Even my dad, a forty-some retired Navy Captains listens to her on a /daily/ basis...xD All the different lyrics, like Frei und Schwerelos, I don't know, they enthrall me. xD I speak a bit of German, so... =3 Fantastic!

By the way, it has been decided by now that Willemijn will definitely reprise the role of Elphaba in Oberhausen, which is really good news! I honestly can't imagine a better Elphaba than her, and I've seen loads of videos and also some life performances of others... And I agree that the differences coming with the translation are really interesting! Overall, the English original of course beats the translation, but there are some very poetic parts in the German version as well... :)
