I really liked Idina... Until I got to go see Willemijn in London last month, she's just amazing and I've been listening to her sing all the songs every day since I got home. I'd go back again tomorrow loved it!

I don't think that it is very possible to sing a song any better than that. It was about flawless. Her transitions are crystal clear,Her intonation is prefect, and sets the breath so well, that you never hear anything even close to a scoop! Man I wish She would come to Broadway!!!!! All these little components and plot pieces, so well delivered - I particularly like her way of acting out the "though of course that's not important to me, "alright, why not?" I'll reply!". I have rarely seen a better performance of this tidbit, and though it looks effortless, it is a really hard line to get right, because the audience has to understand exactly which thoughts of Elphaba's lies behind it. Most impressive!

Willemijn may not do the same vocal bits with her pieces as my fave - Shoshana Bean, but she is at least four times the actress and talent that most of the american elphabas have been. AMAZING performances right and left from this woman and her co-star Lucy Scherer. I can honestly say that I am starting to like the show in German better than in English. =)

@perfume1965 well, first of all: have you seen both? secondly: i didn't mean to piss anybody off, especially not over something that unimportant. you are right, it's not cool to just state a fact and that was not my intention. please consider my comment as what it's supposed to be: an opinion. and to clearify it: i have seen both performers and IMO idina is the best elphaba ever. especially together with kristin. the chemistry between them was mindblowing. but that's just me.

@perfume1965 a simple YES. i've seen both. otherwise i wouldn't have made such comment. i've seen several wicked productions and i've seen a lot of good elphabas. and i was really pleased by willemijn's performance but that won't change my opinion: idina was the best elphaba i have ever wittnessed. no offence to you or the willemijn-maniacs. just my opinion. but if you decide to put one performer over the other, please allow me to do the same.
