It makes me so happy to see how he’s grown into collaborating. The first time he did this with Brandi, he sang well but seemed nervous (probably because it was off the cuff and with someone else’s band) and there wasn’t the usual flare he has with his own songs. But /this/ iteration of “The Joke” was fricking awesome! The cellist did a beautiful job too.

Love this, much improved from Newport. Particularly love Rorys drumming here, sensitive but rocky - hes an even better drummer now , and with Alex hes the spine of any Hozier band.
