If I had to write up a series just on Luanne, she probably would have a bit of a learning disability. That being said, many people with learning disabilities do turn out to be skilled in at least one aspect of their lives. If anything, that gives Luanne a mildly heroic story arc of being someone inherently limited, due to no fault of her own, and struggling forward in an upright and moral fashion instead of simply trying to cheat to get ahead.

I think Dale thinking John Redcorn is gay is probably the more likely scenario than the earlier theory about him secretly knowing. I mean, Dale is a conservative Texan in the 90’s. He takes one look at John Redcorn, sees the long “girly” hair, vest, spiritual touchy-feely healer crap. It would be reasonable to assume he would think he’s gay given the stereotypes at the time, which would create a GIANT blind spot for him in regards to the affair. He would never suspect him.

I feel like most of these about Dale kind of miss the point of the character. Dale is a libertarian sovereign citizen. He's suspicious of everyone and everything - except the blatantly obvious: that his wife has been cheating on him for more than a decade and his son isn't his. The king of the hill theory i think is most plausible is the theory peggy has 2 moms. Her mom which we see in earlier seasons. And her stepmom a rancher. Leading me to believe she lived with her dad in montana on and off until she officially moves to arlen during highschool to live with her mother when her stepmother was too unbearable, but she still calls both her mom because they both play a role in her upbringing or something.

I have a theory of my own. Not a serious one but I think the beer they drink, Alamo beer is actually based off to 2 prominent beers from Texas. Lone Star Beer and Shiner Boch. The cans and bottles and the labels themselves tend have a goldish yellow color with is very similar to Shiner Boch. The name Lone Star Beer on the other handle references Texas' nickname which is of course the Lone Star state. Now the Alamo was very big deal for Texas and it is still a place a pride for many Texans to this day. So perhaps the cans and bottles of Alamo beer are the color of Shiner Boch but the name itself is a Texas reference like Lone Star beer is. I know there is a real Alamo beer company but there is no real affiliation to the fictional beer that they drink. But of course Alamo Beer in the show is also a stand in beer for other popular American beers like Budweiser, Miller, Coors, or other popular big name American beer brands.

17:44 although Bill and Bobby look similar as a couple of overweight guys, you have to compare Bobby to Hank at his age. It's one of the things I like about the show, that little detail

Yes, Arlen is an amalgamation of small town/suburban Texas. But, geographically speaking, Clifton does check a lot of the boxes. Then again, so does Temple. And that's one of the towns Mike Judge mentions as inspiration, because he lived there during his childhood. I'm not sure if Temple is ever mentioned in KOTH as being a neighboring town, but I know for sure that Killeen and Belton are both very close because Tom Landry middle school plays their schools in football. Either way, you're right, Arlen isn't a specific town, but there are very good arguments for a few towns in the central Texas region as to where "Arlen" could actually exist and best fit the distance parameters between real Texas cities and landmarks that are referenced in the show. Sorry, I love King of the Hill so much, and I'm also a geography nerd, so need, I always enjoying having debates with people about which Texas town(or city) could be the real life Arlen. Always enjoy your videos.

In regards to Luanne being good at mechanic work, I swear there was an episode where she went with someone. I wanna say Cotton. There’s an episode that if you pay attention because it’s not exclusively focused on, but she is working on rebuilding Hank’s car from scratch by herself. She laid out every part across the lawn, in the order it needed to be replaced, which takes a lot of skill within itself, and it’s kind of just glossed over by Hank because she says she allowed herself to be up-sale’d on a certain part. It was the episode where he got caught using crack as fishing bait. Only know because I just happened to watch it and noticed this exact thing about Luanne. She is honestly one of my favorite filler characters. Rest In Peace to her voice actor. She was so beautiful.

I have always liked the theory that Dale knows that Joseph isn't his son, and his way of taking revenge on John Redcorn is to make sure that he and Joseph are super close and that Joseph loves Dale. We see this on more than one occasion. for example, Joseph and Dale share numerous common interests, and despite coming to extremely resemble John Redcorn physically (such as his long hair and weight lifting) Joseph is the spitting mental image of Dale. He's a gun and hunting enthusiast, a conspiracy theorist, an amateur entomologist, football fan and is apathetic to the environment, native american spirituality and anything else John Redcorn might hold dear. The theory is that Dale made sure he and Joseph are close, and Dale legitimately loves Joseph and does care about him, but his subtle way of getting back at John Redcorn is that Joseph loves everything Dale loves and they routinely bond over those shared interests and Joseph doesn't give a damn about John Redcorn. The fact that Dale eventually does reconcile with Nancy and she eventually turns against JR spending time with Joseph actually furthers Dales revenge plot.

Eventually I said make a right on the 3rd Street you can't miss it.15 seconds later he said "so, you grew up on Narcissis road. And another piece of the puzzle falls into place." I said what the hell are you talking about? He told me I was the biggest narcissist in this town, ask anybody. The older I get the more I believe it, it also gets funnier with age. Not so sure about Luanne blowing up the Mega Lo Mart. While I suppose it's possible, this video fails to point out the scene where Hank catches, and scolds Buckley for dragging a propane tank by its release valve; something that could potentially cause the tank to leak. To me, that's the obvious culprit.

It's a bit sad that creators can't take the stance John R. Dilworth (creator of Courage the Cowardly Dog) does. In John's vision, his cartoons are art and art is open for interpretation. He doesn't want to be that guy that tells which theories are correct and which aren't, so all theories are correct as far as he's concerned.

At first, my reaction was to respond in the comments with the sad truth that Luanne being a woman, and how she dresses and talks, no auto shop in that deep red town would hire her, unless like me, she went to college and got a degree in automotive technology to prove she could do it, and even then it would be a long shot, but then I realized that unlike me, she would have had four, maybe 5 men, if you include Cotton, to tell a shop manager that she is indeed very qualified. ...And now I'm bummed that the show never went that route with her.

What if Bill found out that Lenore was cheating on him and so he decided to get back at her by sleeping with Peggy? Then when both of their infidelities were exposed to each other, they divorced. He feels guilty for cheating instead of working out the marriage and so he sticks onto Bobby when he finds out its his kid. Bill loses everything in his life and falls into a deep depression, and Peggy can no longer stand to be around him. She doesnt tell him off because shes afraid he will expose the truth to Hank. Just my theory.

I don't agree with the Luanne theory simply because I think Luanne's guilty conscience would have come forward and she would have admitted it. She's too sweet, naive, and (admittedly) stupid not to let her guilt reveal itself. The Bucky's angel episode ends with her not saying she's sorry for killing him but rather that she's ready to move on and Bucky never accuses her of killing him.
