Dear bbi , my name is Chris, I’ve been in the cb hobby for only about two years now, and I decided to build a little 2-pill amp , with help from guys like you and gatekeeper I was able to accomplish it, I put videos on my profile on here, I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to put all the teaching videos on here, I spent days studying your videos and taking notes, just wanted to thank you, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without your videos, thank you so much

Spectacular! I successfully learned from you how to flat braid ground bond my vehicles and I switched to rg 400 from lmr 240. I am laughing.... if you were born seven seconds later he might be saying luke, I am your father. 😂

Used to use a syringe type device on small coax, it was inserted between the braid and the inner then pushed through the braid. The plunger pushed in and the inner would pop out the end. Leaving the excess braid to be used as the pigtail. Also worth a note is PTFE is as slippery as hell, if you stretch it when stripping it will shrink back along the wire leaving a bare end which could cause shorts later.

Thanks for the videos, I love what you have done with the interviews, it really means a great deal to me, getting to listen and watch legends tell their stories is quite awesome to me, I’ve listened to these guys on the radio growing up as a kid and now talk to them, don’t try to interview me because I am nothing but a tiny mud duck swimming in a sewer pond with logs floating on top 😂😂😂 keep up the good work and definitely keep interviewing, I truly enjoy it 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

Perhaps you could get someone to categorize all your videos and create playlists? I did not say you should do this because between work, amp building and repairs, honey doo's, dad stuff and of course one hour of sleep each night, I think you ran out of hours. Thanks for the video Luke.

@miket55063 жыл бұрын
I’d go with RG-393 at minimum

Rg-217 will hold it. All day long.

How do I connect 2 rg316 wire together? It's for gps antenna cable in my '05 Honda Odyssey. Thank you
@BoxBuilderIdaho7 күн бұрын
@@jaymont9118 it all depends on what kind of connector is on the GPS unit

@BoxBuilderIdaho the connector is a hrs gt5-1s

@BoxBuilderIdaho to be honest I'm not sure cable is rg316. I did some reading and that's the info I got
@BoxBuilderIdaho7 күн бұрын
@@jaymont9118 well then all you got to do is find the connector for that coax you can probably buy that at Max game systems to be honest with you

I bought a connector off eBay but The Wire that broke in my car is very short and I was watching your video and your video said not to stretch or put too much pressure on The Wire. So I went to the junkyard. And I cut another wire with that connector and I want to extend the one in my car. How do I extend? Is there a connector that will connect the 2 wires together so I can extend The Wire in my car.? Or do I have to solder the 2 little wires together?

Maybe you can help. I want to run HF, UHF and VHF with no more than 50 watts on any one band. Would this small stuff actually work? Great video and thank you. 73, KB0WZH

Thanks BBI, for the lesson. I usually use rg213, so I don't have foam issue. I agree rg8x stuff is basically garbage and ruin many an amplifier and or rig. 73 GOD bless K5EWM.

@@dlg926 UG-174,, is the most common reducer that’ll fit,,but there is a specific reducer that’s a tiny bit smaller hole size..
