But they fkd it up pretty bad, they had such a great premise with the internal struggle storyline, he was an interesting posterboy for Tekken as a deep character. Now he's just boringly evil. They gotta bring Jun back and kickstart that internal struggle again, can't believe they just disappear her like that and forgot about her. I'm sad how they fumbled on my 2 favourite characters(who were my favourites before I even knew their story) Everything was right there for them to create a great mainline story ffs, but they trashed it. That scene in the T2 intro where Angel was holding on to him while his devil eyes were glowing was such a great image.

Ryan Lynch First off i didn’t say we shouldn’t feel sorry for kazuya I just said harada wrote him off as a complete evil character trashing the idea that kazuya had a good side in previous installments, I do not agree making heihachi a tragic hero because of the wife incident and why he’s doing all of that, plus the kazumi element was introduced in T7 only, also they reason why heihachi threw kazuya from the cliff in the first place was to see if his son is strong enough to come back and take the zaibatsu from him then they just scrap that in tekken 7 and made the reason that kazuya has devil blood and he wants to get revenge for his mom which is ass

Sakurai did the right thing for putting this music in Kazuya trailer. Not because it's Kazuya's theme song since Tekken 2, but also one of the iconic music in Classic Tekken. Nostalgia is kicking in.

He is nice in a sense that his character wasn't cartoony. Tekken 1-4 have some sense of realism that newer Tekken lacks despite some slice of some joke characters that some fans like to exaggerate. 5 and up went overboard with joke characters, made fighting and story over-the-top cheesy.

Back in Tekken 1 Kazuya was considered the protagonist, having been wronged by Heihachi. In 2, He was struggling with the Devil-Gene, the contrast of pitiless anger versus his own will is what this music captured spectacularly. The title Emotionless Passion itself deserves a fucking medal. Between 2 and 3 Jun Kazama was able to suppress the Devil-Gene. Idk what happened, but they had a kid (Jin) and Jun was killed at some point. Jin blames Kazuya, and so trains in the Mishima Style. Adopting a defensive fighting style. During 3 is when Kazuya is barely Kazuya. A creature consumed with a need for vengeance. I'm not sure what's cannon, but I think Kazuya is defeated by Jin, and so his quest for vengeance is for both his father and son. In 4, Jin is showing the same signs as a young Kazuya from 2, being torn between the Devil Gene and his actual Nature. Kazuya had taken over the other organisation that was rivalling the Mishima Zaibatsu. I'm not too sure about the rest. But its shown that Asuza Kazama can have the dame effect on Jin that Jun had on Kazuya (A family trait perhaps) Onyhoo, Kazuya is fukn awesome, but current Kazuya isn't old Kazuya, cuz old Kazuya is either repressed or dead. Really depends on what happens in 8. Does he regain a modicum of control now he has had vengeance, or does he go full ham on everyone and anyone. We can only wait and see...
@Saru-yr3qk6 жыл бұрын
Kazuya was never nice, but more of an antihero. He did morally wrong things, but his back story made him relatable and able to sympathize with his actions.

In my honest opinion, this song perfectly captures the inscrutable emotion Kazuya gain after making contact with Jun Kazama. The "Emotionless passion" is the love making he shared with her before further diving into the darkside, similar to Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars. In my belief, she slightly purified his dark essence because of her "Angelic" appeal and spiritual nature, which you can see from her ingame background. It would also explain the appearance of Angel as an alternative to devil in Kazuya as he struggled with the opposing force within. Hope u enjoyed my semi Canon take,lol

This is near perfect videogame music. Seriously can't get over this track. Funny enough, what really sells me is the more subdued synth string passage at 2:15. That chord progression is devastating. You feel the weight and tragedy of Kazuya's downfall in its entirety in that moment.

The best and probably most tragic Tekken character to this date. Amazing background, this theme and his fighting style + persona that he has. Kazuya left a mark on me, when I was a kid back in the days, for sure. The thing about Kazuya is tho that he started off as a "good guy gone bad", the he gave in into this demonic powers to kill Heihachi. Revenge made him insane. I remember how hard Devil was back then. I haven't played Tekken 7, but I'm not gonna lie that I was super sad when Kazuya actually has killed Heihachi. It was a good fight. I hope they do not kill Kazuya off by that bootlegged Kazuya named Jin, lol. Not a Jin hater... you would definitely agree with me, when Kazuya had the same impact on you back then. He is the best. You thought he was amazing in Tekken 1... then Tekken 2 came and it was all over! He is the GOAT. Kazuya is the GOAT of Tekken.
@h_crow2213 жыл бұрын
The way to stop this fight against Jin was called Jun to intervene and punish both of them, Kazuya was a bad daddy and killing his own father, and Jin was trying to kill his father in demand of demonic power and starting the 3rd world war

A part of me wishes I had played Tekken 1 and 2 when they came out. Imagine playing Tekken 1 and being introduced to Kazuya, who's the typical stern faced but noble fighting game protagonist, who seeks revenge on his evil and corrupt father for the harm he's done to him. Then you immediately get to Tekken 2 and discover that this one noble guy ends up becoming a more vile man than Heihachi ever could become, and now you're playing as Heihachi and have to stop him, with this sombre, almost melancholy theme in the background. Sure there were hints in Tekken 1 that Kazuya was already down the path of darkness like the unlockable devil costume and the fact that the game manual said that Kazuya's goal was to start a worldwide coup d'etat, but nobody could've possibly seen that swerve coming.

Not really. Heihachi killed Kazuyas mother after she was defenseless and betrayed Jinpachi and stole his company. Hes way Eviler than Tekken 2 Kazuya who still had Good in him ( Look at his ending).
