Wickams is one of the best artisan soaps out there. The Club Cola is amazing. I've used a several of their range, and found them all to be of the highest quality.

Being in Australia myself I just picked a bottle of imperial leather up from my local Coles supermarket. Works out at just over 5 quid a bottle and like yourself I absolutely love the scent from it! SENSATIONAL!!!!

Hello Paul and Mrs. H! I was going to send you Imperial Leather aftershave for XMas 2016, just because you told me about it a few weeks ago. To be honest, I haven't even notice that in supermarkets until you made me aware. Well, anyway I will have to think about something else.... Apart from that I found Palmolive Shaving Sticks that are made in Australia in one local supermarket in a very rural area and they do smell superb and they were quite cheap for Australia's standards (AU$2.20, which is around one British Pound). No wonder these amazing flowers are Mrs. H's favorites. Great video and thank you both for it! All the best!

It seemed like you had more fun than usual with this shave, Paul. When I watched, I'd just finished with a shave, also the third on a blade. Mine was a Merkur 39c with a Rapira Supersteel blade. I used Palmolive Classic cream and finished with Brut aftershave. I have some Personna Red blades that I look forward to trying out, as I've only used the Blues thus far. Cheers!

It has some citrus notes (lemon!), it's fresh and rather unique it's affordable/not pricey (around $AU10-11, which is like 5 pounds or $US7.5). It lasts on my face for around 2 hours, which is OK, the first whiff is quite strong, but it fades later on.

Yes, Paul, I have used a Feather in it. However, for me Astra or Perma Sharp blades give me the sharpness but are smoother.

Dang it Paul, now you got me thinking about the Merkur 34c for future purchase. I just fully broke in my Semogue best badger shaving brush and my Semogue 610 boat brush. Gotten use to the open combs now. Didn't take long to find the right combination with the blades. I still haven't got an Edwin Jagger yet. Though I hate to admit it. I haven't tried it yet as I still have a good deal of the Nivea AS Balm bottle left, but I think the Clubman plastic pour spout regulators may fit into the Nivea bottles. The top spouts of both appear to be about 1.5 cm. If they do, I'll be saving those Nivea bottles to decant my aftershaves that come in plastic bottles, and insert the spout regulators.

I've seen the bottles that you use for decanting. They look like they could also be used as pint bottles for a quick taste of a strong beverage on a cold day at a soccer match! Do those bottles you use have pour regulators or you just have to be careful not to splash out too much? Lol....wishlist eh!...It has the scent from the bottle yes, but when you put it on your skin, it smells very nice, clean, fresh, but you would not think of Imperial Leather straight away, that scent comes after a minute or so, (for me anyway)....love it. see you Sunday, oh and Tallow is not in the ingredients of the soap, but have seen a few people comment on different media that is is tallow based....so my honest answer is I don't know.......all the best....Paul.

I've noticed that you've become faster shave. Probably because it is mild and very smooth razor glide. When you feel secure way with razor everything goes smoothly. I am glad that your finger is finally recovering. I did not ask you about it, so as not to be intrusive. The Gillette #58 is the most sought after razor from the UK. I've got my sights on one in the original red box with blue cloth inside. It is beautiful and has never been restored. I also have another razor from the UK, The Tech Spiral, in the box but missing the soap. Also, have you tried the soap PAA (Douglas Smythe) made in my honor (Navygoat)? If not, I will be sending you a tub. Lavender Bay. It's fantastic!

Paul I really need advice. Ive been De shaving for about 6 months. My question is I have a very coarse beard I have a Merkur future , And the slant. I use feather blades . My question is I can shave the same area over and over and over and over again and it seems like it takes forever to get hair off. Then I end up irritated. The blades are always sharp and my before prep is always very good. Im getting discouraged as to why I can't just go over an area a few times and be done like I see you doing. Does the angle really make a big difference?

It must be annoying when that happens, may I ask, do you use a very light touch when your shaving? as that will give you less irritation when your going over the same area. and yes angle is very important, you usually find that by what feels right, maybe try a slight different angle carefully and see if it feels better or worse etc....another thing you can do is add shaving oil to the area your shaving over and over, and then apply the lather on top, it should help give your skin a sheen of protection without stopping the cutting process....hope this helps in some way...good luck...Paul.

its funny paul , i used the bayrum wickhams this very evening ... its a good soap , just dont use a 26mm brush... but if i was honest , id use the soap and brush for face lathering - its a slick cushioning soap - good results . - alittle pricey , alittle niche but finding it gives gratification . - btw im not a wine expert . - btw dating sites for guys who need a women to understand a guys shaving requirements .....

Fantastic razor! Probably the best engineered razor of them all (outwith the super high end), it's just so smooth and safe feeling yet very efficient. Regarding Wickham, they are discontinuing a few of their soaps on their site w-soap.co.uk/ and selling them for £6.99, I just bought Club Cola which is said to be incredibly bright and citrusy. Eh? Ehhhh? Come on. Haha.
