It's awesome that both of you had a great time. I love the vlog, because I think it is the first I've seen from any photography KZbinr in the area I've grown up. It's so nice to see how you enjoy the region. And it also reminds me to honour the inconspicuous places. The truck stop lake is something I am driving past regularly but would have never thought of to stop for pictures. If you see some places all the time you grow blind to them, I guess. Thank you for the video, it was nice to see the region through other eyes!

Ahh that's so awesome to hear, I'm glad you enjoyed watching! On this roadtrip around Europe we went to some really iconic locations and these unknown spots still ended up being my favourites! Also that's so cool you drive past that lake regularly. I think it would look stunning during sunrise in winter :) If you ever end up taking photos there I would love to see them!

Stunning photos as always, Julia. I prefer the wide angle lenses for the landscapes to get the panorama perspective, but the telephoto is also great to get in super close. You and Dan are very photogenic. Thanks for sharing all these beautiful shots.😀

This part of Austria is one of my favorites in the World with the German alps, just magical and people seem like they are living in a fairytale world. I loved telephoto more while taking pictures in the Alps especially in the early morning

It was nice to see you visiting these locations. We were on a roadtrip in Austria - Germany - Switzerland in June last year and we also visited Gosau lake and Hallstatt. Currently I have thousands of photos in my laptop waiting to be edited. It will be nice to compare how different are mine pics from yours :D Great video!

Thank you so much! Ahh how was Switzerland? We wanted to go there but since we were booking accommodation as we went, it was too busy and there wasn't really any options left so we had to skip it unfortunately. We will probably go back in the autumn though, so I'm looking forward to seeing it!

When I was younger I was fascinated by Austria and its "nature" and mountains. However now, when I have visited many places in Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Norway or even in my home country, Poland, I find Austria and The Alps in general as the artificial nature-looking human made greenery and not the real and wild nature. It delights at the first glance but later on it rather reminds me a well designed park in a city. Anyway, I am happy you guys had a fantastic summer in Europe.

Ooh do you have any good recommendations for nature/landscapes to visit in Poland? I have been to Slowinski National Park which I LOVED. Would love to explore more. Next time I go to Europe visiting Finland/Sweden/Norway and even Iceland is high up on my list!

The reason why I always travel with my 35,85 and 70-200... sometimes without the 70-200.. and sometimes I bring the 16-35 if I feel the landscape going be wide.. 3 lenses only always.

I'm choosing between 100 and 400mm these days for my landscape and cityscape shooting. To be honest I was tried of getting almost the same as people get on their smartphones and see all the time. On a telephoto my perspective looks more unique and I have a soft spot for panoramas when I need more in frame

I do still love my "lifestyle" looking shots on wide angle lenses, but I am loving telephoto landscape photography more and more lately!

Thank you! It's the Peak Design leash and I have the quick releases attached to a D-ring to the tripod plate at the bottom of my camera :)

I find myself using a long lens for landscapes far more than a wide angle. Though that's partially because the mountains here in Wales are usually more humble than those of Austria/Switzerland etc 😅 The 85mm is a really nice focal length for landscapes as well.

I had to click, when I saw Julia Trotti was in my home country 🤗. So funny how the grass always seem to be greener on the other side 😅. You've been extremely lucky with so few people in Hallstatt and Gosau. Was that preseason? I'd assume June? Oh, and I'm mostly a wide angle fan 😁.

We were there in early August! Gosau was absolutely PACKED haha especially since it was an extremely hot day, everyone was there for swimming. We had to wait for hours to get a parking spot and even then we had to walk a fair way up the hill to get to the actual entrance of the lake 😅 Very worth it though! And Hallstatt was empty I'm assuming because we got there riiiight at sunset/blue hour so it was already quite late in the day.

Lake Gosau! It's sooo beautiful and such a nice little walk around. If you go in summer you can swim too. But make sure you get there early as it's very popular when its hot!

lol yeah it's great for vlogging, just inconvenient when it comes to ND filters which I need for video since it's on the back of the lens rather than the front. So a bit of a trade off in convenience unfortunately.

The legs are carbon fiber by Innorel, I think we have it linked in the description. The gimbal heads we use for the G200-600 and other lenses like the GM600 are just cheapies by Neewer as we shoot hand held more than anything. We have both the aluminium and carbon fiber versions and find the carbon version a bit better, smoother and lighter. Hope that helps.

I never understood the cliche that wide angle lenses = landscape lenses... all photos with wide angle lenses look the same while telephoto landscapes are simply unique and way more magical like you showed and explqined! No 200-600mm in Nikon Z yet but now I hike with two bodies with 35mm and 100-400mm on second body and GoPro10 if I want wide shot. Best hiking combo ever 🤠

35 wide angel I am confused . Anything below 24 is wide angel to me. My 16-35 is great hybrid travel lens love it. I'm still stuck on a7ii don't see any reason to get a7iv . I also love fish eye lens can you try those next time
