Another great video guys! Speaking of the Unger Ninja not too many folks know that Unger came out with a Ninja black aluminum squeegee many moons ago back in the late 90's or early 2000's. It used regular rubber with normal gold end clips. I ordered an 18" & 14" back then and I still use them to this day. I love it because it is aluminum and won't bend but is much lighter than these new wide body channels. They discontinued it and it broke my heart but luckily I have never lost them so I still use them everyday! Anyway, thanks again for all the great videos!!

+Superb Window Cleaning yes I agree but some tools no matter what I just don't care for . Sorbo meh it was ok just didn't think this was all it was hyped up to be. Sorbo rubber was the worst , handle was uncomfortable/clunky and for a wide body not that impressed. It's just my personal opinion. You love and that's great. There are tools I use that others don't like, and I'm more than ok with that. We use tools that are durable and perform to our standards, not that sorbo is a cheaply made or poor quality tool just not my personal preference.
@tonyz2551
@tonyz2551 6 жыл бұрын
Luke The Window Cleaner Sorbo rubbers are the best and most durable. Rubbers like Ettore are nondurable and the handles dont last and theyre too skinny. Ungers are too messy thanks to those huge plastic clips on the end theyre always dripping water especially when cleaning inside houses. Also they are not made to fit in between a blind and the window. Sorbo and Ettore are good at fitting in these tight spots. Overall Sorbo has lasted me the longest compared to others. I tried switching to all the other brands including Moerman but sorry no they are not durable as Sorbo is. Also the Sorbo handle has a big good grip handle which in my opinion they should all be made like that instead of having skinny slim handles like other companies make.

i learned exclusively with Sorbo widebody channels, use them on home windows as well. After my first week of training got the angle to stop nicking glass. I have used narrow channels and they just don't have the same strength, and versatility. The Sorbo handle is odd, you almost have to hold it at the top with first finger and thumb, not by the part that connects to the pole. i have never had the squeegee stick on the glass as she described. I would imagine if someone is quite used to another type of channel there would be a learning curve. i would agree with the peole that have praised the Sorbo equipment. sorry Y'all trained on other stuff.

I do agree with Riri when it comes to tight spaces the Sorbo handle has the same problem as the Ninja especially when using a wide body channel. I usually just squeegee with the Sorbo channel by it's self in those instances or use a 22" channel and up depending on how high the booths, desks and other tight spaces are. You can also move the handle all the way to one side of the channel and squeegee like that.

Great perspectives on the channels.. Appreciate the honesty.. I've used all of them at one time or another. As you guys say , they all have their shades of grey.. There are a couple wide bodies you didn't to mention. The Alumax and the Cobra.. I know the review was based on the top three most popular.. Even so, I would like to give a shout out to the Sorbo Cobras. I know these channels typically get no love and most tend to pigeon hole them into a "great for strait pulls on a pole only" category. I must confess I stayed away from the Cobras because they just felt a little clunky to me.. But dare I say these channels are real sleepers? Yes, I will say it, "Cobras are sleepers".. Truth be told I use them almost exclusively now. They leave little detail work depending how you set the rubber and fanning is a pleasure even compared to their brother Quicksilver.. Admittedly the Cobras take some practice to gain proficiency especially with closing out. But after some stick-to-it-ness, they are surprisingly versatile, functional and real plow horses. The plastic ends are great because they don't catch on any type of frame work, be it wood, metal, rubber, etc.. I never in a million years thought I'd be going to bat for the Cobra channels, but then again I never thought I'd be a window cleaner either. Stranger things have happened.. Give the Cobras some love.. :)

I hated Sorbo at first too cause I started with ettore never had trouble closing out though. It's just a matter of getting used to a soft rubber. They're better for fanning in deep winter with straight washer fluid. you can really beat the piss out of Sorbo rubber especially on high rises where frames aren't maintained very well you'll still get nicks on the rubber constantly up there with Sorbo though which means you gotta throw them out constantly but they seem to hold up better than ettore does idk why hard rubber nicks easier but it just does.

First time I saw a wide body channel from Ettore was on one of your videos, never see them in any store here. Too bad you didn't like the Sörbo. I don't use the Sörbo handel, I use the Ninja on my Sörbo Wide body and the Ettore handels on the lighter channels. The Magic lies in the rubber. .... And in my heart I have always room for one more Sörbo Squeegee... But my van says No... So let someone else be the lucky one 😎

Hi Luke and Reanna! Love your videos, and the review. I've been trying to watch them all, but you're uploading so many! I dig my Sörbo 24" for big tall straight pulls on a pole, and use it occasionally for modified fanning, but it's a bit big for the most part. I love the way the extra slots pull water off of the rubber so stutter starts are fast. I wanted a wide-body storefront hand tool, so I bought the Ettore Superchannel 18", and after a half day, put the rubber in my slimline and wondered how you guys operate with them. I'll have to try the Ninja once I can afford one (ugh... January in CO).. Thank you for the review! Keith @ -Keith's Window Cleanining

You can say and think what you like Jacob. I've spoken to hundreds of people criticising me, telling me how fast they are compared to me, how skilled etc. I've heard it hundreds of times. I've also met some of these nerds in person at shows and they've showed me how fast and how good they are. They are fast in their little minds. In reality they are messy, sloppy and very very clothy. I'm 3 panes ahead of them working slower and more controlled. Maybe you're the best in the world at what you do, pity you have no video to prove that. You are assuming you can beat me on your own turf so you are saying the same as me. Again another stupid comment from you Jacob. Give it up mate.

Another great well thought out video. I use the Ettore 30in super channel on a few accounts it is my go to for big store front glass. I was going to get the smaller version for daily work but after seeing the lip and they way you both explained the Bad and Bad I going to look for another one. Thanks Again for the videos and the help you have given to the Newbies who still are trying to fig out what we are better with.ROBPVWC

I'm Team Sorbo after using both the Ettore and Unger Ninja. IMO the Ettore has the worst end clips and if not handled properly can cut your fingers. The Ninja has nice end clips but will break if not treated with care. The Sorbo has the most simple to use end clips and won't be damaged if you drop your squeegee.

Too bad you didn't like the sorbo. Everything you guys said you hated about it is all the things I love about Sorbo. I'd gladly put it to use if you have no need for it.

only problem that I have had with the ninja is that if you drop one off the side of a 40ft house in freezing tempts they tend to break. it could just be me though

Luke, can you explain how you mod your Ettore Superchannels? Maybe you've already done a video on this and I missed it. Maybe you could share a link? Thanks.

We have been using the sorbo for couple years now. The only issue I have is finishing on deep sills... Haven't tried the ninja, but I think I'll give it try now... Don't send me the sorbo ... but I will trade you a Brite Window Cleaning T shirt for a Luke the window cleaning T....lol

+Paul A. Clayborn, Sr. thank you ! yes i have a video that explains it , search in our tips and tricks playlist for super channel . anyways the 18 inch is a piece of junk...now the longer lenghts are different. so we take the longer lengths and cut them down. i also prefer a unger ninja channel on my super channel. hope this helps
