Gen 6s already?? 🙈 Only had the gen 5s around 18 months, so I'll probably wait another 8 months and get the G7s.... 😂 Great review as always guys. 👍

@@03bugeye must have been under construction at the very least.... 😂😂 how swiftly technology advances..... nothing to very little in 30 years, then an advancement every month from all the suppliers who all needed to tweak summin to make it better with the roller matt filters being the latest example I can think of .... knew I should have taken up playing darts or summin.... 😂😂😂 I bought the gen5s as they were the proposed best led light on the market....didnt last for long if they were 😂😂 maybe time to switch to Hydras....... or a dartboard. 😂😂

I'm not ok with paying 1000 bucks for a light when there are cheaper options that are tried and tested to get the job done. Nope not going to spend as much as I have on a reeftank on a single light.

This should actually have been the real g5 instead of the g6.The wider spectrum in the blue is a good thing, less green I'm not sure since I turned it to 100% the results are better and also t5 have a spike in the green.The g5 was less good than the g4, a more bad spectrum, less color pop, less par and not a real UV, fan noise,you needed to add a diffuser to not get disco ball effects,just the spread was a bit better but to have good results and coverage and less shadowing,I needed to buy twice the recommended amount and ad t5. Their marketing was a real scam.And now they try to sell us an upgrade that is insanely expensive!No way, that is the best way for them to definitely lose their loyal customer. If there were honest, they would make this upgrade for a fair price to repair their error.

Probably because it is exactly the same as the gen 5. It's the led colours and lens that's changed. Enough to make me consider changing from my hydra 32.
