I love having a bit of negative space. So the plan here was a Prussian Phthalo Blue background with a river of Phthalo Blue, Turquoise, and metallics of Pearl Cream, Gold and Pearl Marmalade. I went with a slightly bigger canvas than I normally do a 18" x 24" As I would like to start experimenting with some bigger sizes soon! I poured the puddles down and then surrounded it with my base paint. I find I get a lot more movement (my River) when I do it this way. My river ended up a lot wider than I expected but it's a very flowy piece. What do you think?
