Another pro tip i recently discovered. When it is making the giant boulder, you can actually shoot the boulder. Doing this before it is fired, will make it explode, dealing damage and purgewater build up to the widemaw. The larger the boulder is before you destroy it, the greater the damage and purgewater buildup, possibly even causing the drenched state immediately. The explosion also causes damage and purgewater buildup to other nearby widemaws.

Yea it does actually cause the drenched state immediately if hit at the right time I accidentally figured this out while fighting the widemaws in the 1st cauldron forget what it's called I think its like MU Edit:spelling

It just takes a lot of practice! I’m still not perfect, but I’ve gotten a lot better at estimating where the center of the reticule is on the screen

I've played without HUD for a long time, doing 2 VH 100% playthroughs without one. Honestly just keep practicing and keep trying it. Play without Aim Assist and try to hit animals like rats and small ones

I am struggling badly to get widemaw tusks which I need for multiple upgrades. I can't find non- apex variants anymore, and only when shocked do they lay still for long enough that I can detach a tusk. When knocked down, they don't open their mouthes, so I am really struggling. Any tips?
