Some voices lose their richness and flexibility, some lose their range from the top, some lose it from the bottom, but Gary Brooker's voice in this concert is, if anything, richer and more powerful throughout the range than it was fifty years earlier, as is his command of the piano. There are legends, but this man is a Titan!

So true! I travelled to London some years ago to visit their 50th Anniversary Konzert at Southbank. Garry missed one step as he left the stage for the break. The break took one hour. He played around one hour with a wound dressing around his head, and an injured hand. That's Rock & Roll! I'm so glad that I heard him at least once in my life. R.I.P.

And he is so 'down to earth'. Quite some years ago (2002), a morning after a performance Gary Brooker stepped down in his morning dress and socks, and played 'A WhiterSshade of Pale' for breakfast and the other guests, at the tiny harmonium placed in the small 'Rock Hotel' Brundby at Samsø , Denmark. One of the other guests surprised guests were Bill Whyman. This is just a small, cozy little hotel . Not a 5-star hotel, bath and toilets at the hallway. They make small intimateconcerts, not earning big money. Very often guests and 'stars' meet in the corridors.

What a tremendous joy it must have been for Procul Harum to perform their beautiful, symphonical mus ic with this orchestra and choir. It gives me goosebumps all over at least. “We sailed for parts unknown to men, where ships come home to die” is definitely the most beautiful line in the lyrics of popmusic. The whole ship’s crew perished but reached “no mortal place at all”, after seven seasick days they made their port of call together and cried tears of joy.

Think of all the shitty acts who can’t sing write play or perform at the highest level and realize that that’s your competition. These guys write one of the greatest songs ever plus albums filled with excellent music and they are passed over for the likes of a band like Kiss or Metal crap and ‘softie pop’.. There is no legitimacy to the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame. Make your own up in your own mind and listen to it over and over and over again. That’s what true fans do. The rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame will go out of business at some point.

Strangely enough, for three weeks I have intensively discovered Procol Harum music richness, and wondered how I could not have heard it before, apart from Whiter Shade of Pale. This concert in a whole is brilliant, with epic versions of their great songs. The second verse of An Old English Dream : "Once we had a country And thought it so fair If you look through the mirror You can still find it there But now our great country Is broken and torn And all of its promise And liberties worn" echoes so deeply today in our post Covid countries, with liberties worn. Now the final whiter shade of pale came on your face, RIP with our deepest respect, Mr Brooker.

Absolutely gigantic..This is music folks. Can't cover it up with any bs...The dude is almost 70 and he still has it. You hear that voice and if you are a Boomer, you know exactly who it is. As good today as he was at the Filmore East back in the day.

Masterpiece... Grazie Gary, Grazie Procol Harum...

Wow!! As if the original version wasn't stellar enough!! It must be absolute heaven to be Gary Brooker at a moment like this....with the divine choir & orchestra backing him up. It just doesn't get any better!!! He still has one of the most recognizable voices in Pop Music. So fine!!!! ~King Bear

Went to Monte Carlo to see them, fulfilled a lifetime ambition, only 1 word to describe it, STUPENDOUS!! When they did Whiter Shade of Pale, you could hear a pin drop, I saw so many people weep with joy, what a concert!! Worth the 1200 mile round trip, and I'd do it again tomorrow, in a heartbeat. Awesome.

Love it! Gary Brooker's voice is still wonderful and the Danish National Orchestra back Procol Harum beautifully. Derived from a J.S. Bach creation. The entire Salty Dog album is one I have been listening to since 1970.
