Hi Love to know what adhesive product to use to remount the new motor controllers I purchased and if I should use any heat sink compounds

I order: Don't use any adhesives more than double sided tape, the foam type. You need to keep air flow. Heat sink compound is not useful. It's designed for perfectly flat surfaces, like cpu and heat sinks. It should be thin too. Just repack it all carefully and you'll be fine

There should also be some screws too

@@finophile is that all that is used to keep the 2 controllers in place ? There is nowhere to screw it down correct ?

@@finophile this is a brand new body as well - there are no screw holes to mount the 2 controllers I cant find any picks as a reference to repack the body with the battery / controllers or a good way to flow the necessary wires

Further to this when I plug in the new controller which does not have any labelling on it I get a spark from battery is this normal

Just maybe, the claimant had upgraded their controller.

firstly I doubt it, and secondly they should have added that, thirdly its still voltage limited and that's by the battery. Lastly if you do the numbers for every kmh increase you need a significant step up in power, which just can not happen with electric motors because of how they work (torque drops off as RPM increases). So while I applaud you're tolerance without actual evidence I'm calling bullshit. This blog post contains a helpful motor analysis (as well as other tests) cjeastwd.blogspot.com/2020/03/off-mark.html

ok that's quite dangerous especially with tires like those.
@finophile4 жыл бұрын
I guess after having done it dozens of times I'd be able to testify its no more dangerous than riding along on any other scooter at high speed. and the tyres are actually pretty reasonable. I'm assuming you don't have one.

@@finophile Actually I'm about to receive mine today :) Haven't rode anything with solid tires so I'm glad it's not such an issue at high speed (on asphalt at least I guess)
