This is just too cute! I think it would be fun when making the pillow to make it wrap all around to the back, so you have the front of the dog on one side and the end of the dog on the other side...Love how you make your videos to help and inspire everyone to try something new. Very Cute! I think that since the strips have already been "skinnied-down" from the pattern 1/2", rather than make the seam allowances bigger, I'd just adjust the width of the background and make the whole quilt a bit wider (which should be easy as it's just straight across). I think I'd also add an "eye" to the face, and applique the word "WOOF" beside the dog's mouth. Thanks for making and posting this video, Donna!

This really gives you ways to save every little scrap of fabric. One day you could make a quilt covered with lots of (more normal sized) dogs and use up little tiny scraps on doggy noses.

SO cute! And those bright batiks are so much fun for the child in any of us making this pattern. As soon as I saw it was a dachshund dog I immediately thought of the old Autograph Dogs from "back in the day". Hmm. . . Maybe this pattern could be done with various Grunge fabrics or lighter colored prints that read as one color and then those spaces could be autographed with friends' names in permanent ink or even put short phrases about dogs stitched in. Just making the pillow Donna showed might very well be worth the price of the pattern -- in case you didn't have time to sew an entire quilt.

I did it...I made this for my daughter in law. I add the words WOOF WOOF! (they were on top of each other) and placed at the top by the head, then on the bottom I added To Lisa, Merry Christmas, Love Sue 2018...it turned out great...I did have issues with the back leg/tail area could not figure it out and just winged it...would love to submit a picture.

Very cute! Thanks so much for moving the ironing board closer to your machine. Is there one layer of cotton batting under the canvas or two? I ask because some quilters say no batting as ironing on padding distorts the patchwork... I would like to hear your and Matt's thoughts on this... We have one layer of cotton batting under the canvas - just our preference. We will do a tutorial on how to make the ironing board soon.
