From a happier time when we were one nation with similar values and could listen to people like Max and feel a sense of togetherness, now we live in a country that's tearing itself apart.

Thank you so much for making this possible to listen to it. My dear father passed away in '83. Our favourite time was to make a meal together and he would collect herbs from the garden and put it on the steaks we were cooking with a bottle of Roodeberg while listening to every Max Bygrave's record I bought him. He left school at fifteen, lost his father at 10 and emigrated with my mother to South Africa.we went to see Max at the Three Arts Theatre in Cape Town back in the 60's. Listening now to him my eyes are filled with tears. Bless you, all of you from those years and a different set of values.

Used to sit and listen to all these songs on a weekend from the local pub when every pub had a piano player and a local singer

If I could be a performer. I would like to follow Max as a tribute to him. As his songs were underrated. As his songs were not only jolly, but his songs we a good strong family and friend bonding. As his songs could be sung from all ages and have a good ol' knees up.
