Definitely. It’s like he studied the masterclass 1 video on KZbin where Heifetz was teaching this piece. I wish I could find a full recording of this polonaise played by Heifetz.

I was privileged to hear the late Henryk Szeryg perform this live in recital almost 40 years ago..This is as good if not better than Maestro Szeryng..Szeryng was Polish, but a Hungarian does it as well!! WONDERFUL!!

Did he win a prize? From what I remember he was a finalist but didn't get a prize... What a shame! This guy is definitely my favorite out of all the finalists, because he plays with such musicality, warmth and maturity.. and he reminds me of Oistrakh! :)

Only thing I’d like is a bit more sound on the piano when it has the melody in the F major portion. The violin was flawless. Wish I could play that beautifully.

@tennisballer17 not exactly "any" i suppose, coz really cheap ones really can't produce that sort of tone with such texture, some of them even can't produce any sound at really high-pitched notes. So a high quality instrument is always necessary for good music.

This is what I believe is how this piece should be played "BRILLIANTE" If your looking at the performer your probably too judgmental for serious music appreciation.

I have to explain about japanese Expensive dinner show for limited higher uppers membersips for geting real near beautiful sound for super superior(SS-sheats) in first top hotels .So, the prise is like Opera. But I can not trust,but I hope to listen your stage in the Grand as Kanagawa prif,hall as public that Rusia 1st barett or Opera or many 1st Orchestra use. There is the 1st japanese international city in Japan ,near Tokyo area in mordern.

Contenue, Do not mistake , I am not your mother or brad relations or deep relations . I hope to your high quality art action make everybody&you happy in good circumstances ,through this advice. If you can play drewing final finishing edge of music or phrase,I think your play make more stronger longer music core show on your strong string face with quarts like by other music or your deifferent super art hand finger work music as composing by yourself. This Pianist was also good!
