Świeradów-Zdrój - a mountain resort and health resort in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, near the border with the Czech Republic and Germany - is a perfect place for trips to the Jizera Mountains.

Dom Zdrojowy in Świeradów - a beautiful building located in the center, surrounded by a park - the most recognizable element of the Świeradów Spa. The Spa House has a 46 m high clock tower and the longest (80 m) Hala Spacerowa among Lower Silesian spas with a larch structure, with beautiful floral polychrome, stained glass windows and the coat of arms of the von Schaffgotsch family placed above the stage. At the entrance to the Spacerowa Hall, there is a mineral water spring (radon-iron water).

In the first half of the 20th century, the building was called Prinzess Charlotte and was used as a tourist house. In the 1990s, the building was renamed the Szarotka Pavilion - there was a department for neurological diseases.
3:16 A fountain with frogs
There is a legend related to the frog, a certain Berlin doctor found a dead but perfectly preserved frog in the local stream. After examining the chemical composition of the stream water, it turned out that the water has radial properties. Today, the frog has become a symbol of Świeradów. The frog fountain, which was put into use in 2010, has also become an attraction. It is said that the frogs from the fountain bring: health, wealth, happiness and love, they only need to be caressed. The frogs are therefore highly smoothed.

In 2014, Zdrojowa Street was modernized, part of which became a promenade. The promenade is decorated with a fountain and effective lighting that looks beautiful in the evenings. There are numerous shops, boutiques and cafes.

On the spa promenade you can see a characteristic half-timbered house. Houses with the half-timbered technique began to be built at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries. Originally, they were built by craftsmen who had their factories (e.g. weaving) in them.

The present temple consists of an older and a newer part. The older part was built of brick in the years 1898-1899 thanks to the efforts of the countess von Schaffgotsch. Inside, there are four stained glass windows and the Way of the Cross. The front facade is decorated with two towers.
The newer part was built in 1974-1978. The church was built with donations from parishioners and patients as well as donations collected by the parish priest Władysław Dziegiel.

The park, designed by Karl Grosser, was established in 1898. Together with the terraces, it forms an architectural whole, which is a very successful composition, both from an aesthetic and practical point of view. The park area extends in the center of the health resort, around the Spa House.
6:38 The building of the Świeradów Zdrój railway station
The station was put into service on October 31, 1909 with the commissioning of the railway from Mirsk. The station served as a passenger until February 11, 1996, and in 1998 it was completely closed. Since 2012, the former station has been owned by the city, while on March 1, 2019, the Municipal Center for Culture, Activity and Promotion of the Commune "Culture Station", called the City Heart, began its activity in the building of the former railway station. The revitalization of the facility and adjacent infrastructure cost about PLN 6 million, which the city government obtained from the European Union funds. The area next to the facility has been arranged in such a way that in the future, trains from Mirsko will come to the town. For a long time, the local governments of these three communes have been trying to renovate the railway line: Gryfów Śl. - Mirsk - Świeradów-Zdrój to start railway connections there.
7:27 Gondola top station
The construction of the Świeradów gondola was completed in November 2008. The lower station is located at an altitude of 617 m above sea level. The upper one, located on Stóg Izerski - at an altitude of 1060 m above sea level. The length of the entire cable car route is 2,172 m. The railway has 71 comfortable eight-person carriages. Travel time one way is 8 minutes, during which you can admire the amazing scenery continuously. There is a 2.5 km long, illuminated ski run between both stations.
