I don't remember the name of the person who had been murdered but his wife also was sending text messages to people and no one was seeing him or talking to him in person. His son (I don't know how old the son was) sent him a message that said, "What was the name of our first dog?" and two other questions that I can't remember but questions that his father would know but his step mother would not. She had been responding to everyone's text messages (as her deceased husband) but the questions her step son asked were just ignored because she had no idea what the answers were to his questions. That's how his son knew for sure his dad was dead.

From 1948 till 2000 the year my dad died. Instead of divorcing him she just punished him with a miserable life. I think the gentleman (the former D.A.) is missing the point on the mother doing the right thing and calling the police upon finding body parts in the suitcase. Don't forget she was probably a single mother which itself involves a lot of trauma and pyschosis in the life of her child and she probably began to fear for her life realizing her son was capable of such a heinous act. This is probably the reason she immediately called the police.
