Wrong information here. They are not married and she did not cheat with anyone. Go back and view the scene from episode 11 of The Way We Were, a Chinese drama. The so-called husband is not yet the husband of the woman in the hotel room and she did not cheat with any man. She was forced to accept the marriage of the nice guy in the drama by her parents, but she loved the college classmate who was her first love back in China (and it was that also nice young man who found her drunk after she fled the Court on the day she was supposed to register her marriage to the guy who asks her why she fled and ghosted him on the day they were supposed to register their marriage. In China, Korea, and Japan, you are NOT considered married until you officially, as a couple, both register your marriage. It doesn't matter if you had an unofficial marriage where you where a wedding dress and say "I dos". That doesn't count. But on the day she was supposed to register, she could not forget the young man she really loved, who confessed in episode 1 to her that he had loved her for 3 years and saved her from falling off an ice cliff when they were climbing a mountain together. In the end of episode 1 when she leaves China for Stanford University, she laments not hearing her first boyfriend's confession of love at that moment he was confessing and she was on the phone. The boy who confessed was the guy who found her drunk and carried her to the hotel room. They did not have sex or a love affair. He carried her to the room and left. So both guys in this drama wind up with the women that they "connected with" first. They return to The Way They Were. So this whole description about a "husband" and "cheating" are incorrect. To check I went back to episodes 1 through 11.

As far as I am aware (I haven't watched it though) Neither cheated, apparently there fathers are corrupt politicians or something, and she knew they were working together and never told her BF, and he I believe hates his father so he felt betrayed. Or at least that's what I got from the online comments.
