While what his wife did was naive and disrespectful to their marriage, his stubborn insistence on revenge dating Angel was reactionary, unnecessary, and quite frankly, a feminine response. Ignoring the little fact that up until seeing the therapist the wife still did not think she was doing anything wrong or even fully understand how no normal spouse would accept what she was doing, thus making it clear any admittance of understanding that her choice was wrong before hand was fake.
