Unpopular opinion : one hell of a messed up drama. The one that should be most depressed is ml but he is being blamed for fl depression. The most annoying thing is at the end when he is this close to getting his revenge, fl is like either choose her or revenge. Why would he let go of what happened to him and his sister. I hate this kind of relationship where the partner becomes the weakness, atleast if you can't support him don't obtruct him.

I'm not sure you have watched the drama. Fl does not make him choose, like ... ever. On the contrary . She sacrificed her reputation for his revenge.She supported him all the way, she stayed at that firm to help him get LP back ... But the point of the drama is - you can be hatefull and revenge yourself, or you can be happy... He isn't weak because he let Gao go ...he is the bigger man. You do not seem to understand , for ML, Gao IS his friend ....one of the few he ever consider his friend...he would feel guilty for his death for the rest of his life .... And keep in mind, Gao is not really the culprit for his sister. ....and his jail time wasn't really anybody else's fault but his own. And most of the things that happend to him are because he did not handle well what life have thrown at him, and decided to face it alone, without any help. And ofcourse ML is to blame for FL depression ... she is beeing punished with this heartbreaking pain, but she did NOTHING wrong ... he did. And he broke her heart , intentionally ...AGAIN... just to vent some anger because he is jealouse. He HURT HER because he belived she might be happy with another dude.

She did not make him choose.. she told him whatever choice he makes she will support him and she did. my girl literally got bad mouthed on the internet because she posted the video that gao threatened her with. she hates to be threatened and for someone to threaten him.. but he stands by her and deletes all bad comments.. that’s on the special ep. also he isn’t the only one to blame for her depression! he isn’t the only one that wronged her in this show .. her parents and her friend death was weighing heavy on her chest 😊
