I think she had a severe case of postpartum psychosis, Postpartum psychosis can lead to severe mental health issues for pregnant woman, like delusions and hallucinations. In most cases, these symptoms cause a woman to perceive her baby as being in grave danger from her husband, even if he poses no actual threat. There’s been many cases of woman killing they’re husbands or baby. And I think she caused all those wounds herself (the scratching and her dogs death) and blamed it on her husbands sleep disorder…. When you think about it she was the ONLY one awake when all these things happened

The fact that he already suggested sleeping somewhere else so she wouldn’t be extra high strung at night and she could easily ask for her mom to move in temporarily to help with the baby, only for her to insist on what she wants then proceed to have a breakdown is what’s crazy to me. Like, girl. Pick a struggle.

Stephanie please do a video on the attack on the army public school in peshawar, Pakistan in 2014. A school was attacked by armed terrorists which ended in the killing of 150 children and leaving over 100 injured. it shook the nation and is to this day a horrific memory that every Pakistani runs away from but it deserves recognition. the parents never got justice. they can never get their children back. there's a lot of politics involved as aps stands for army public school and most of the students in attendance came from military backgrounds, this is believed to a reason as to why this school in particular was targeted.

in the height of a mental health crisis, i once went a full week without sleeping. i was scared to watch this but i don’t want to spend the rest of my life freaking out whenever anyone mentions sleep deprivation. anyway i actually ended up really enjoying this.
@chuiduma
@chuiduma 8 ай бұрын
I get insomnia so I periodically go 3-4 days without sleep. What usually happens then is minor hallucinations... like seeing a mailbox at night and thinking it's a person standing near the road for a second. The longest I've gone without sleep was a little over a week and the worst thing that happened was I hallucinated week-old kittens in front of me when I was going to help my cousin move. Mainly cause I was caring for bottle babies at that time. 10/10 would not recommend going without sleep for that long, but it wasn't so bad. My sleep paralysis is worse, tbh.
@Lauren-by7xf
@Lauren-by7xf 8 ай бұрын
@@chuiduma I didn’t have hallucinations (that I know of), but I did have paranoid delusions. I kept thinking I was dying. And I had a lot of weird physical reactions - blood vessels bursting in my eyes, tongue being swollen and painful, a lot of twitching, etc. Aside from that, I did go 72 hours without sleeping a few times, but at the end of the week-long time I was hospitalized.

I came in to this video very scared and now, after finishing it, I'm super depressed. At the end of the day, this story is super sad to me because it's not just playing into what happens when we don't get enough sleep but also the anxiety first time parents have. It begs the question, how far will you go to protect your child? Because even though the mother character had a psychotic breakdown at the end of the film, she did all of that to protect her daughter. Now, was it extreme? Of course it was. Would I rule out parents going completely crazy if their child is hurt or killed and the crazy being justified? No. It also is like a societal message of mother's having to be the one to stay awake and care for the child. The pressures of those expectations cause so much stress for first time moms. My parents split up the time when I was born where my dad would wake up between hours x and y if I was crying and my mom would do the others. More fathers need to do what they can to help their partners care for their child.

One thing is you never intervene with sleep walkers the more you bother them you will just cause bodily harm to yourself or the sleep walker. How many times have you heard of someone dying or falling out of a building sleepwalking. Almost never, because it's in human nature to preserve the body. Even if they open up windows they will come back and close it. But if you irritate them they might flee and fall and they may charge you in foul play.

I suffer from chronic insomnia, I go 72 hrs without sleep often and it's true. By day 3 I cant get up without almost blacking out, you think things like the fridge making noise is it talking to you. You see silhouettes on the walls in the corner of your eyes. It's crazy but when I go past day 3 I will goto hospital. Luckily that hasn't happened in about 5yrs because I have been treating it with cannabis

I loooove your videos you seriously have a talent in storytelling it blows my mind. I really want you to do Şahsiyet, a Turkish crime drama miniseries that you can find on puhu tv with english subtitles. Its about a man who finds out he has alzheimer’s and he is devastated. But after a while he decides it’s something that he can turn into an advantage rather than being sad about it. It has a lot more to it but I don’t want to spoil anything it’s really packed. I really think you out of everyone would do justice to the story. I’m also so sad that I’m probably the only person requesting this and you’ll probably never see it but I’m gonna keep trying :( Anyway, much love from Türkiye ❤❤❤.

When Stephanie mentioned she would like a knife attached to a power drill, it reminded me of the movie from Grindhouse presents "Planet Terror and Death Proof" One of those movies had a woman with wooden peg for a leg and then her "lover/love interest" makes a machine gun leg implant. These are zombie movies that I think you both would enjoy and for all I know, you both probably have seen these two movies 😂❤❤❤

There’s no “cure” for sleep walking. My keys get locked in a safe and/or my car gets blocked in. I don’t remember what happens when I sleep walk. I wish I could. I’ve done wild things, funny things, crazy things, scary things…. I have a HUGE scar on my leg. It’s about 8ins total with 2 sections (abt 2inches & 4inches) requiring stitches. I woke with my bed soaked. There was blood all over the house, including some of my bloody foot prints. It looked like a horror movie. We could never find the origin of the injury.

ok but like speaking of sleep walking and sleep talking stories I’ve got two really good ones. one about me, one about my brothers 1) I was 15 at a Christian horse ranch summer camp (just fyi) and I was bunking with nine other girls in a girls cabin. One night I was just sleeping but I remember having this very funny lucid dream and I could feel myself laughing and I heard sound. But as soon as I heard it, I woke up. I was laughing maniacally in my sleep at my dream, full volume, in the middle of the night. 2) I was like 12 and my younger brother was like 9 (almost 10) and the entire house woke up at like midnight to the sound of a shrill and violent scream. My little brother, in his sleep, had walked downstairs to the main level, threw open the garage door and just screamed into the void that is the garage. Hope you enjoy my silly stories :)

Hey Stephanie! There was this book that is one of my favourites. There’s 6 high schoolers that go on a spring road trip but their RV gets stuck in the middle of no where. There’s no cell service and they try to get help until they realize that there’s a sniper outside that wants one person. None of them know who it is and everyone’s hiding something. There’s a bunch of different plot twists and it’s so good. It’s called 5 Survive by HOLLY JACKSON! The same author to a good girls guide to murder. I wanted to give a book recommendation and possibly a future baking a mystery.

Hi Stephanie!! I love your videos on all of your channels! There is this one TikToker Jacquelyn who posts very disturbing videos of her little girl who's name is Wren. She even receives comments from pedophiles and she just ignores them. I've been seeing a lot of people on TikTok making videos on this and how she should be stopped. I was wondering if you would ever do an episode on it which will raise more awareness and more people will report her account and these kinds of videos will be taken down as they should be never been up.

Ah i loved this story. Ima watch it this week now. I work in supportive housing in nyc and my role is to help folks living with serious mental health concerns adjust to having housing again. A few of my clients have schizophrenia characterized by “unusual beliefs”. There’s a client that beliefs my team and I enter their home and move things around to mess with them. There’s another client who feels tactile sensations and believes they are receiving oral sex as they are doing mundane tasks like harrying groceries and crossing the street. I cant imagine how scary navigating the world would while if I physically felt like I was being assaulted. Since they can’t see and make sense of who is assaulting them sexually, they assumes it’s any Latina woman in their vicinity. Poor clients been arrested for randomly smacking women. Had another client who was convinced they’re an alien and would walk miles away from home with no sleep due to mania and physically assault people bc they think the people around them are talking shit. Stories like these always makes me wonder what my folks are experiencing

1:19:16 ok, she’s crazy now, there’s so many other things they could still do instead, I think she’s torturing herself now 56:58 At this point, I would go with Henry’s idea and let him sleep somewhere else for a bit. I also would NOT give him more pills than he should have, that’s just a bad idea. And have a camera in the other place he’s sleeping to see what he does, and keep getting help from the sleep clinic/doctors. If it gets worse or don’t get better after being in the meds for a while, maybe a clinic he can stay in while he gets treatment? And changing meds right away isn’t necessarily the best idea, stay on them for at least some weeks before you see if they work or not. Of course they won’t do that in a movie though, that’s be too logical and remove the horror 😂
