Even I was facing the same issue, extender is just waste of money. So I used my old modem to connect the main router through LAN cable( you can extend the wiring using cad-6 cable and the internet provider can connect a pin for the same) Now it’s super fast in both the floors.

That repeater did its job. That 300mbps is a max theoretical output it can handle, garbage in gargage out. When you wirelessly repeat the wifi, you necessarily half the thoughput since its not full duplex.

It is a bi-directional antenna. Need to be in proper orientation to get the coverage. Antenna should be aligned parallel to the coverage area to get maximum output.

Bro you need wired extension to solve your coverage problem. ISP ppl won’t be much of a help in this regard. Try to get a lan extension from the main router to the floor where you need wifi coverage get a AC 1200 router (cost about 2300 range) and configure the second router as wired extender in the settings and you will get the full bandwidth in both floors. The small one you showed is basically useless for getting full bandwidth/speed. This is the only cheap solution otherwise go with mesh routers which will cost you a fortune 😢(15-20k) for a pair of mesh routers

Any WiFi router can't pass the WiFi signal properly to other floors, better use small two routers and connect both through ethernet cable. Extenders also won't work well., instead of exdenter u can try to use PLC exdenter (power line communication)

Extend using lan cable, not wifi, you have 4 output ports in main router, buy RJ-45 cable with jack and connect one end to main routers output and connect to the second routers input, choose extender mode in second router, all set.
