The color & length look lovely on you & you're great in getting a wig looking wearable!!! The Scarlet I had was a permatese mess & I remember the lace front was picky feeling. My issue was the bangs.

I love that steam works so well to help train bangs.... I have her on today and really loving her! I did a little twist with the bangs which helps keep them off my face at work (I shared pictures on Instagram and the WigStudio 1 Facebook page if you are curious).

Awesome review!! I love how you showed all your steps...but started with the end results!! I can not believe how different the wig looked out of the box!!! This video gave me hope for a wig t hat I purchased a month ago ( Janelle by Noriko)....she looks nothing like what I saw on revews, the front of her just falls in .I face.she's been on a wig stand this whole time, trying v to see if she magically (lol) will look wearable at some point...after seeing your full vudeo, I know now, that she needs some steam!! Keep doing videos like this please...your yes hung us SO much about this wig lifestyle of ours!!! Scarlett looks great!!

I'm realizing how important it is to show the whole journey with these wigs. For new wigs wearers especially because it can be so hard to know what to do.

It looks more golden indoors. Almost a black ore dark gray outside. I am going to have to work on my Scarlett. I was so excited to get her but she needs a little lift off the face too. I got a fun red color! You look gorgeous in Scarlet!

I agree. I think my bathroom lighting warms up colors, so I think it is critical I show then both in there and outside.

I bought a preloved Scarlett suppose to be in excellent condition & came so tangled. Have been working on her to try to get it wearable. I’ll try some of your tips. Our measurements are very similar & my ear tabs are above my ears also. Wanted to try Jon Renau & this was a way to try but have heard some not positive reviews in the fibers. Don’t know if it was the way the sister cared for her or the nature of JR. Love the way it looks on you & your review.

My first was so bad.... maybe it is the fibers after time.... so hard to know. I will update everyone on this piece after some wear. I just do3nt have a ton of experience with Jon Renau... although I do have Kristi and she is WELL loved by someone before me AND me and she is still going strong.... but she is straight and that probably makes a difference.

I just came across this wonderful review; thank you. I think it must be fate; I have this wig on order in this exact shade. I did get the large cap though. I've had curly wigs arrive and come out of the box one hot mess. This video gives me confidence that I can make this piece my own and not get discouraged. Thanks again.

Thanks for the insight on Scarlett. I didn’t know you were in MN. I am too. How do you handle wearing wigs in the winter? I just started wearing them a few months ago.
@heywigsister5 жыл бұрын
Hi, Darcie! I find wearing them in the winter is MUCH easier than in the summer. I have a few that are perfect for wearing with hats so if I am going to be outside for a period of time and need to bundle up, I'm good... and I LOVE that they don't get hat hair like bio hair does!! One thing I would keep in mind is that they can start to feel a little dry if you leave them out on a wig head.... last winter I had a number of them just out on a wig head in my bathroom, this winter I plan to keep more in their boxes. I am going to do a video on this, maybe this weekend!
@sharongarrity77445 жыл бұрын
I have gotten a Scarlett and she is very thin and the permatease is more visible than the actual longer hair. Am hopeful that I can get her to look wearable

I am very interested in your perspective on Jon Renau's Hot color Cocoa 8RH14 I am working towards purchasing my first wig, leaning towards Jessica, so I have nothing to compare with. I don't really want a red-brown wig, but more importantly, I must avoid blue or green-brown undertones to the brown wigs (ash) as they make my complexion very sallow. Does hot cocoa give off the blue-green-brown hue? Do you recommend a better color? I think I like the Gabor sunlit chestnut (as sgi=hown in t=youtube videos) but have no ideas of their real undertones, either. Secondly, are the highlights more blended, or are they mostly thick like ribbons? Thank you very much for your response.
@heywigsister3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, this is such a great question. I truly cannot see a blue-green-brown hue, but I have a feeling that this is something that might be hard for some people to see, do you think that could be the case? I very much do not want to steer you wrong, but I can't see anything like that. This is just a very mild neutral brown. Also, the highlights are VERY much blended and not thick ribbons at all... it just brightens up the color a bit. Very subtle.
@QueenVictoriaRose3 жыл бұрын
@@heywigsister Thank you very much for your response. I am relieved that you can't see blue-green-brown hue, so I finely did order Jessica in Hot Cocoa. I appreciate you getting back to me.

How do you know if you can steam a lace front wig? I purchased several years ago but didn’t wear the wigs because of insecurity. I am working on owning my wigs now. The wig shop that I purchased from will not tell me the name of my wigs but i think one might be the Scarlett and my top needs help.
@heywigsister5 жыл бұрын
I think you can steam all of them, just be careful not to hit the lace with the steam.
