Alien is great. World Champion. However, I dislike the "big fish in small ponds" leaders that have local fans claiming they're great but they lead the entire song offbeat -- In this case, on the backbeat. Too many of these types on the West Coast as well. The real question is: "Does Elvis know Alien?"

Serious. I mean when is it finally going to come to a point that the salsa scene takes a look at the rest of the dance world and stops this amateur non-sense thinking and starts to demand more. The kid isn't paying attention to the girl, he's not dancing insider the pattern, there's way to much pattern and no musical connection, the whole over arched ballroom back thing again, I can keep going. And don't attack the messenger it doesn't change the fact that its true. And its not the kids fault.

Champions of what? Of the fake world championships. Thats not even equal too saying you are the champion of double mocha's at Starbucks. Jesus people wake up and look around the template is there you dont have to reinvent the wheel just learn to dance. For real though.

If I hear the word musicality again I'm going to start killing people. That has to be the most abused word in the I need to take some dance lessons salsa scene. Maybe say phrasing or something that carries a little more depth. It should be a given that a dancer is being expressive to the music. Its like saying I was hungry eating. Everything you said was true however. Leave out the swag its played but I liked the rest.
