I just watched a KZbin video of a Q&A with Greg Page from The Wiggles and he said that the reason why the show decided to use the infamous Wiggles puppets was because that they wanted to do something new and different since The Wiggles didn't want to be stuck with doing the same thing over and over again, but eventually they ended up not using them anymore after finding out that these puppets ended up scaring a lot of people, including kids who were watching The Wiggles.
