I've cycled from Amsterdam to Athens using just a map app, it was tedious stopping at every junction, memorising upcoming turns, always getting lost. I also manually calculated all my statistics! I can't imagine the bliss and ease of guided navigation and statistic tracking!

So much better than my old Garmin. By far the best feature for middle aged blind guys like me is the fact that you can zoom in and read the screen even without prescription glasses. Also love all other wahoo products

My money don't jiggle, jiggle, it folds. I want to spend it on Wiggle Wiggle, for sure. Riding on my Wilier, you really have to see it. Six feet one in bib shorts, no slack. Luckily in the race I'm not at the back. Wiggle's item reviews are simply the best, thumbs up!

To Roam is to live. 20,000 miles and going strong , my Roam has been my companion on all my adventures , seemless integration with my apps and other devices. I would never choose another product , great visuals and maps are so reliable. I donated my Bolt to my husband when I upgraded due to the age old eyesight issue , I plan , he is happy to follow as he can’t see either! Time to get him on board with a Roam so when I disappear into the distance as I am known to do - he won’t get lost 😁 anymore .

I've been biking for about 7 years in my adult life and while I liked the idea of a bike computer, I never thought it was that necessary since I have a smartphone. A few weeks ago I went on my first bikepacking trip and quickly learned how I could benefit from having one. Within about 2 hours I had to charge my phone, probably charged it 2-3 times in the little over 7 hours of riding on the first day. I've been researching bike computers off and on for about a year with the bolt, roam and karoo 2 at the top of my list. I can't decide between the three, so feel free send that roam my way and make the decision easy for me 😃. I pROAMise it will be well used!

I road the Rift Race in Iceland 100 Km with My Roam Element 1 never made it back from my race back from Iceland to Canada… Loved my number 1… So I am off to buy the new Element v2 Have a great day .. Awsome video too. James

The new Roam sounds like an awesome upgrade from my old Bolt (v1). Started bikepacking and exploring more, so the larger and higher resolotion screeen paired with the dual dps would be nice.

I ride for a Human Powered cycling team for my school called Kingswood College HPV team. At the moment we are running an outdated Garmin edge 500 however the battery doesn't last that long. A new head unit would be an amazing addition for the team during our 24 hour race at the end of this year as it would mean we can see our speed and power data, in the time when our head unit we have is charging. This would be a crucial improvement for our team and make us more competative whilst leaving us funds to spend on other consumables such as tyres and drivetrain components as we haven't found new sponsors yet.

I have the Bolt V2 and wonder if I should upgrade to the Roam V2... Would certainly come in handy for long adventures requiring navigation. The best thing about the V2 screens is the contrast and the sharp colors compared to other bike computers. I never have contrast issues and it's always easy to read, also due to the font style wahoo uses.

I love cycling. With 60 years of road cycling and over 150,000 miles in legs it's safe to say I am the happiest when on the bike whatever the weather. I ride every day. I am a sucker for a classic alu frame, skinny tyres, rim brakes. What really matters is to be active with passion and sharing that experience with others. I think I can do a lot more with this ROAM BIKE COMPUTER. Opportunity to enhance the cycling experience. Finding inspiration in the details and feeling peace in the neverending horizon. So much to take in, so much left to explore... Cycling has a massive positive impact on my life and I will never take that for granted. My mental spa. @wiggle #wiggle

My 2020 Elemnt Roam has now reliably taken me 23,037 kilometres, which I think works out at 1.6 pence per km. Reliability is such a crucial thing when you are on unfamiliar roads. Looking forward to the new Public Route Sharing feature. I did like Sol's riff on the periodic table - could we call this Roam an allotrope of the first one?

Hi! I bought a Garmin Edge 840 in late October this year. Within one week, when on the Map screen ALL the detail disappeared. Only thing left was the cursor showing me where I was. After endless googling etc, I decided to wipe the software and buy (😅) a new Map. I installed this and everything worked. Two weeks later same thing happened again. I went back to my bike shop and asked them to take the Garmin back which they kindly did, giving me a full refund which I used to but a Wahoo Roam V2. In the week I’ve had the Roam I am so pleased with it - maps dont disappear, the screens are much easier to read than the Garmin and I can live without a touch screen. Oh yes, I tried the Garmin “helpline” and tired of waiting for up to an hour with no response from a person. Be interesting to know if you or any of your subscribers have heard of the disappearing map problem. PS thanks very much for your videos. Gerard (Australia)

Had a Bolt for years (maiden voyage with it was the Isle of Wight Randonnee!) and love the Wahoo system. It's never let me down. I always recommend it when the age old question of "'which bike GPS should I get" is asked on forums etc . Would like the chance to 'upgrade' to a later model and colour screen though :-)

The update's taken a while. I guess Roam wasn't built in a day. 🙂 Does the arm patch you mentioned for glucose updates in effect act like a diabetic glucose monitor? I'm type 1 diabetic and don't like interrupting my ride, tho' it's absolutely necessary, to check my blood sugars. Although you mentioned not many would use it, it actually could be very useful. I'm 8 years post double lung transplant, I'm still on an Element Bolt though. Would love a Wahoo bike computer transplant! 🙂 Great review. Thank you! 👍🙂

Never used a head to guide me on a ride! Always plan on a map before I set off - that said I have taken a few wrrong turns in my time. I’d be curious to try using one, but got the age related problem of map size vs need for reading glasses maybe they aren’t meant for over 60s 😂

Cycled with the Schokofahrt from Germany to Amsterdam/Netherlands. With a Smartphone as Navigation Tool. Big mistake in heavy rain. Charging Not possible due to humidity. Navigation Not available due to constant rain on the Touchscreen and unwanted Touches. Which one would you recommend (mostly Navigation and a bit of sport) Garmin Edge Explore 2 or Wahoo Elemnt 2?
