Wise, kind, funny, what an inspiration and a privilege for the young performers and us to witness it.

"What I cannot read in your face, I do not hear." Of all the things Mr. Quasthoff says in his marvelous masterclass, this might be the most important for young singers to learn. He also points out something that science has demonstrated: a smile is audible in the human voice.

The first singer who sang Die Stadt is truly remarkable. So is the accompanying pianist. I’ve heard many different performances of this piece, and this one is truly extraordinary.

He is indeed remarkable and its crazy that Quasthoff still found tiny details to elevate him even more.

Totally absorbing. He is so full of insight. he knows exactly what to advise, he demonstrates wonderfully, and he is kindly, supportive and funny as well. What a treat for the young singer, the pianist and the audience!

@clefnoteproductions6695
@clefnoteproductions6695 Жыл бұрын
It's difficult to get to technical or deal with technique in 30 or 40 minutes. You can bring a voice out, help them with interpretation, where to breathe, or how to pace a piece, perhaps address vowels and consonants but doing more in such a short time is difficult in my opinion
