I was so glad to find this. My son is making a model village for history class and I wanted things to be at least close to authentic, and be respectful and not just some generic stereotypical mess. This is so helpful.

I once built a 8’X16’ wigwam frame out of ironwood, with the top center at 8’. It was so strong, I could jump up & hang from it. I was never able to complete it, & because I didn’t remove the bark, or burn the ends in the ground, after 5 years, it rotted down. I’d love to try it again, with the knowledge I’ve gained since. Would make a great hunting camp!
