This is RVL-DFNJ? Nice find. "Earlier this year we were able to secure a copy, allowing the world to see this piece of former Wii Series lost media in its entirety!" I guess you'll be preserving it soon?

That’s the plan 😄 I’ve already been in touch with a few of the well known preservation groups, but admittedly it’d slipped my mind as of recent so thanks for the reminder haha. Do you have any information/theories on this release? Other than this (likely unrelated?) blog post, we’re not entirely sure about its origin: karu.blog.ss-blog.jp/2007-11-26?amp=1 Best guess is it’s just some kind of store demo, but I know you’re particularly knowledgeable on demos/betas so I wanted to hear your take!

This could totally be a case of misremembering, but a potential American version (or equivalent in this case ig) of this demo may exist as well. Take what I’m about to say with a grain of salt to because tho I was not there for it lol Around 2011 in a mall my brother recalls trying a demo for Wii Fit plus in a show floor demo, and I know it was specifically Wii fit plus since he recalled doing the obstacle course. According to him it was the only thing you could do in the demo. Apparently the screen was super big as well, tho his memory is fuzzy since it was over a decade ago, and mine was literally nonexistent since I was 3 at the time lol It may not have anything to do with this demo, and it could very much be the full game just in a mall, but I thought it was interesting to bring up

Actually just through a random Japanese Twitter post. That was the first mention of the game on the entire internet as far as we know lol.
