First time I've ever heard the words to Arkansas Traveler. I doubt , after hearing your rendition, that I'll want to listen to anyone else's. And to be able to do it with such ease and passion from a cozy chair speaks volumes to your talents as a singer and musician. Kudos.

@tre1120 hey there, I am not originally a banjo player, but I did learn a few licks when I was 16. Its open G banjo tuning, so I could use a couple of those licks plus a few more I made up. sorta also inspired by some of those Celtic fingerstyle players, though I am playing with a pick.

Hi Wil. Happy New Year! Looked for the lyrics for Arkansas Traveler by you, but could not find them anywhere. Are they written down somewhere that I could get them? I just figured out the guitar part (except the very last closing part-I'll get that soon). It is a fun tune. Thanks you for your music. Jeff

sorry, Rob, I don't have a cd that is just me alone, I don't feel confident enough about my playing to just play all alone, maybe someday... but you are more than welcome to purchase a cd with me plus some great pickers. I'd appreciate that.
@WilMaring13 жыл бұрын
@tre1120 gosh, Its hard to explain how to play this except to say, its not hard. Tune it like a banjo in open G, capo to the 5th or whatever key to sing, and then follow my fingers on the video. Its really pretty easy. If it wasn't I couldn't play it. If you come over, I will give you a lesson on it. I give guitar lessons.
