I love the energy (the mastery and execution are both top-notch), but I would have appreciated staying in poses a little more, slowing down the pace (when necessary), and just savoring the music. The rhumba is a sultry dance with soft moments and a deliberateness that takes it time, before punctuating it with sudden bursts of passion. Tricks are good--wonderful to behold and a marvel to watch perform--however, the core of latin is to wow with solid basics and build upon that foundation by incorporating a spectacular sense of rhythm, body awareness and control, and musicality. Still, I loved this performance. I enjoyed a lot of the components of their piece. Congratulations, mga kababayan! You did well!

The judges are so biased! To be honest the representative of Philippines dancesport is better than vietnam but still they got almost all the gold medal in dancesport. There are more deserving than them!!!!

fact: the host country must be an overall champion. I remember we also received same feedback last time with other countries. Well, every host country received the same treatment.

@@emarie3214 Well, yan yung mali talaga dapat di sila mag base kong sino yung home court, porket sa kanila yung home court is di sila dapat manalo kahit deserving naman talaga. Sayang naman yung effort sa training, yung oras at pagod nila tapos ang ending di sila naka gold medal kasi pinapaboran yung kaninong home court. Dapat mag base sila sa performance at contents ng mga representative hindi yung dahil lang sa home court. Nakakalungkot naman na you did your very best kahit klaro naman talaga ang lamang sa performance and yet for them it is not a valid reason. :/
