"there is no middle when the other side would rather kill than compromise" -lyrics from "Hints" Ode and Cruel feel a little "conservative" in that they feel like safe, Sky Blue Sky Wilco, but Jeff still does Ghost-era solos in Tweedy and I personally found Star Wars and Schmilco deeply rewarding and fun

love these guys but this last record was not good in my opinion. that's ok, they have tons of great tunes.
