Same thing I was thinking! Plus shooting in the air with houses behind! I know it’s an air pellet rifle but those things are super powerful now and can break window s hundreds of yards away 250-350 yards away I know if the way miss shooting that height to begin with! Prolly farther and I know it wouldn’t feel good to be hit accidentally either by one of those .22 pellets! I love what they doing, but in some situations they need to think about what they shooting at and what’s in the background!

@@ericsacco7406 I've been shooting pellet guns for 40 years following the sport on numerous forums and participating in MUCH discussion and extreme long range shooting. Shooting that gun up into the air in the suburbs is VERY dangerous. The "shuttlecock" design and subsonic speed of pellets typically keep them stable throughout their trajectory. Forum participants have shot out to 800 yards with .22 pellets by shooting with extreme upward angles similar to those used in these videos. BTW, would it matter whether or not it was "tumbling" if it hit a person, animal or window?
@ericsacco74063 жыл бұрын
@@bigb0r3 Good info... I was always concerned about the danger of a flying pellet and at what range it could cause harm. I have been shooting pellet guns for 30 years and they are dangerous no question. I would love to see an experiment of a flying pellet and at what range it would be dangerous as it is falling. No question they lose velocity and ft lbs the further they travel. The smaller the caliber...22 and .177 are safer as they have less mass. My 24g .25 is for sure more dangerous. Pass small game though at shorter ranges even on a .22 is lethal. This is shooting PCP. No question you need to know your backstop.

You run the risk of introducing debris into the muzzle that may compromise weapon performance and the accuracy/efficacy of your ammunition. If you're not using a tactical sling, "muzzle up and down range" is a great rule to follow. That's a fine weapon you are using - don't risk compromising performance or your safety!
