Hunting season: 1st of August - 15th of February
It is a common species throughout Romania; it has a good genetic background.
Methods of hunting: - Individual - lurking, fumbling;
- Collective - stampede, while stalking dogs’ barking sounds like a song for the ears of hunters.
In summer, specimens of 150-200 kg are frequent, but there were hunted wild boars which weight exceeded 300 kg.
