Wild Boar Hunting: Driven Hunting in Hungary with Steve Wild

Day Two of the driven hunt and Steve is shooting in Hightowers on the lookout for some big Wild Boar. With the guns in high spirits and the anticipation to see some boar rises, the day ahead looks promising and Steve is raring to go.
Welcome to Wild Boar Road Trip - Hungary on Team Wild TV.
As the morning briefing takes place, the excitement and anticipation begin to build. It's an amazing opportunity to be able to hunt here in Hungary once again.
This hunt has been organized by Tamas Tacaks of Wonderheart Hunting who ensures everyone is fully briefed on the day's proceedings before the day begins.
Steve has been positioned in a high seat for the first drive. This offers a great view of the ground ahead while providing a safer angle to shoot running game when the terrain is relatively flat or sloping away. Particularly when your neighboring guns are positioned nearby.
A group of fallow had come running through, unfortunately they were all bunched together so they didn't present a shot.
Steve has stuck with the same kit he has been using all week, shooting with the Blaser R8 Professional Success in 300 Win Mag for its speed and safety features. Topped with the Hawke Frontier 30 1-6x24 IR Rifle Scope, a well rounded combination for driven wild boar hunting.
The first drive had its challenges. After taking several shots off to the right, the boars remain elusive and quick, leaving Steve disappointed and empty handed. It just proves that even the most prepared and skilled hunter cannot always keep up with the wild.
With the Sun shining and the guns in good spirit, the second drive shows promise. This drive is located in a ride with woods and high seats on either side, initially, the beaters will push the game across from one side to the other to give the shooters the best chance of getting a boar.
Steve takes a few well aimed shots but with the other guns firing all along the line in the same instance, Steve is unsure if the bullet found it’s mark or if the pig got away. But in the thick brush, nothing is certain until the beaters comb the brush.
After a short break, Steve is enthusiastic for one last drive. Even though he didn't connect with all of his opportunities, he's clearly now enjoying the experience. This is where your experience really comes into play. No amount of training or simulation can fully prepare you for the real thing.
As Steve reflects on another uneventful drive, he still manages to share smiles and congratulations to his fellow guns. It has been a brilliant and exciting day for all and he cannot wait to make his way back to camp to see what the beaters have found.
As in many of the European countries, Hungary has many respectful hunting traditions, celebrating the Fallen game and give thanks for its bounty but also initiating those new to hunting into our ranks.
When all is said and done, Steve celebrates his new found friendships and his relief as the beaters bring home his small victory of the wild boar he thought he had missed.

It is Blaser R 8 in 300 Win Mag. Rifle is modular so you can swap the barrels. Price starts at 3500 E

It's the ninth video in this playlist and again you show your gear and which rifle with which scope and which specifications you use. The ninth video and again you explain the safety mechanism (cocked, decocked...). Come on - why? If you're watching only this video, it's informative, but when you follow you all through your journey and everything is been told a dozen of times, it's very tiring and the progress in your journey seems to crawl, because it seems that the half or your content are closeup shots of your equipment. I like your videos, especially your trip to Alaska, and I am thankful for the great video quality, but you shouldn't explain everything again and again and again each video and fill them with product shots that much.

Paying for a driven hunt is a waste , there are plenty of people who are pestered with animals hog/deer etc and will happily let you shoot for free, i understand its a business but...
