Fascinating story about the two different Chinook species.

Bravo Joe and Kyle! Really enjoying this series and looking forward to the future videos. As a biologist who works in Cali, how you are covering these issues is delightful. Somehow you have covered accurately the myriad issues surrounding chinook in a short and entertaining fashion. Really well done!

Fat reserves of springers must be absolutely amazing. Wonder how many calories a 20 lb salmon needs per day in the river.

But because the dams they can't reach high elevations where they were normally supposed to spawn. They weren't supposed to spawn at 3500 ft elevation more like 7000 ft plus elevation

Where were they normally spawn way above that spot?

I had no idea they lived in the deep rivers and creeks during the summer.

Oh Geez, Sorry Allen! Nothing like when someone spends years conserving salmon, and invites a couple of conservation filmmakers out his property...and then they spell his name wrong! Per my email we'll correct before next episode when we really explore Butte Creek :)

When do the poachers arrive? Think I'd kept it as much of a secret as possible.

200 fish really isnt a lot for a run. Super cool to see but really depressing mumbers.
