We head out to the western desert with Dennis from Walkabout searching for more wild camels. Once the tracks are found we set up a yard to muster them in. This is wild country with no way to trap we use motorbike to round them up. Once in the yard we use the method of rolling the camel over. Being chased stirs them up and when lassoed can throw the head around so we use this method to avoid the camel injuring itself. This is safer for both us and camel. With such a big expanse of country rounding up camels is difficult and hard work.

New subscriber here! Very interesting insight into the outback and obviously camels! I must say that I am very surprised at how docile and non aggressive the camels are towards humans. Obviously you guys make handling them look very easy. The other notable point is that the camels look so healthy, I think the environment is very conducive for them. Looking forward to the next video!👍👌

nice to see you guys using a drone to survey the area, but these little things can run for an hour tops... you need a bigger one [fix wing] to run for a few hours [or more] and cover longer distances, to regularly survey way wider territory, so you know when camels are nearby, how many and where, to arrange those operations... and they even cost the same money to buy... you can even use them to bring the camels closer to you for the bikes to pick them up... Nice video though... a taste of what's to come... I liked the little dance at the end too... Good luck out there... and a Happy New Year...!
