Nice hike. Have been to Angle Tarn many times but never started where you started. Nice to see snow :) Great vid. Thanks for sharing.

Yes just mixing up a bit with some Wainwrights it makes the wild camping more interesting. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. ATB Darren

The exact same 4 I did last month and I parked at Hartsop and we saw the deer as well but the GoPro could not pick them up. We got rain and mist so no views. Nice bit of snow and some great views all around and at Angle Tarn, the place of my very first wildcamp 4 years ago. Looked like plenty of tent time and a chilly night but still worth if for the morning views. Cheers Alan

Yes the same route you did but with probably better weather, the snow was great. Long nights at this time of year about 16 hours in the tent but I had a couple of films downloaded on my phone. There is definitely a herd of about 12 deer in that area of the lakes. I remember your first wild camp video, have you not done anymore since. Great to hear from you ATB Darren.

@@bluehighfly - Only done one more to be honest down at Easedale Tarn, just over 2 years ago when I had a weekend out with Trev, from the Summit or Nothing Channel. We climbed Helvellyn on the afternoon and then headed up to the Tarn on the evening, real good two days with him.

Nice one guys , those summits looked well mental . Good option camping at the slightly less wild conditions by the tarn albeit still Baltic . Not managed a winter camp this season I’m off from the 12th and forecast is rain lol atb Dave

Cheers Dave, yes I'm feeling them summits this morning a little sore. Bagging Wainwrights has made wild camping a little more interesting giving us a reason to try different locations. ATB Darren

Very nice vid I was the guy on the headland.it was a little grim at times that day but love the snow and the winter challenges.my 1st time camping there I've always avoided it but thought I'd give it a go I see why lots camp there it is a great spot.

What a small world. Angle tarn is well known for wild camping and therefore always very busy, it's the first time I've camped there for that reason. I'd have said hello if you had been a little closer and the weather was better. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. ATB Darren

@@bluehighfly yea I'd have popped over but weather wasn't great.i waves as I left in the morning.thats the good thing about winter camping most of the busy spots the rest of the year are often quiet.
