WILD CAMPING BEN MACDUI 2nd Highest Peak in the UK Drone Footage of Epic Scotland Lanshan 2 pro Tent

The less known peak of Ben Macdui standing at 1309m is 2nd highest to Scotland’s Ben Nevis (1345m). A pretty steady laborious walk to the summit but on a clear day quite breathtaking. We camped on the way up at possibly my favourite ever spot by an endearing tarn which enticed me in for a swim. The drone footage shows off this place to perfection and the scale of the mountains.

I've bivvy camped at the locharn at the base of Cairn Lochan in September this year I was just behind the large boulder near where your tent was pitched, it was incredibly windy, so no Midges at all. I've also done Cairngorm and Ben Macdui during June a few years back was lucky enough to see lots of snow and a couple of tarmigans. Amazing to see your footage of places I've actually been. You are right Al, I have climbed there in winter.....is an awesome place then . The Aladdin's couloir is a good solo in the second Coire you visited, plus the Fiaciall ridge between the two coires is good summer and winter. The great slab below the Coire where you stayed though is very avalanche prone so look out for that winter visitors.

Cairngorm mountain is the first mountain I've ever got to the top of , stayed at boat o garten a couple miles outside of aviemore and could see the plateau where yous were camped under and thought I'm gonna climb that , never thought of getting yo the top of a mountain before , just an idea I came up with when I saw it, next day I did just that and the views, just WOW! never seen anything like that until that point , when I got to the top I still didn't realise I was stood onto of I think the 4th highest peak in the UK, it was a glorious day for it too! I loved it so much I went back again the next year and took my then 14 year old nephew , sadly I've never been back but what a beautiful place! Hopefully get back 1 day

That lochan where you camped was as crystal clear and pure as you'll find anywhere in Britain, what a place! The food looked fantastic (no small part played in that by your girlfriend!) Also I've never seen quartz in that form before, only single pieces that have been washed out of the ground and are rounded off, amazing that. Quartz is a good indicator of gold and Scotland definitely has places with gold 🤷🏻‍♂️. I’m quite into the gold thing! Panned some in NZ which was ace and melted it down myself. I’ll take a pan next time 😬😬😬

I camped in that very spot (pretty much within 10ft of where you are) in my adventurous training exped on joining the RAF in 1997. Weather was beautiful in the morning, walked up and summit Ben Macdui, then camped where you were overnight. Woke in the morning to 3ft of snow (bit like your storm Arwen video). Typically we had no crampons issued, loads of cold weather gear though, but the views were spectacular.

😂 well I’m a new channel really but I’m definitely a ‘go big or go home’ type of guy but getting seen on KZbin is hard work. I need everyone to spread the word and tell their friends 😬. I have only been watching your v-logs recently and I like many other people are probably in awe of all your kit you seem to have a lot of good expensive gear which for a lot of us would take years to accumulate you are either in a highly paid profession or you are getting your stuff at a reduced rate if your product testing ??

It has taken years to get a decent set of kit although I am acquiring and swapping out items as and when I need. I have never had much money so I’m always looking for bargains in the sales.
