@Fell_Wanderer3 жыл бұрын
There was a small woodland of native trees before the conifer plantation, they just planted sitka spruce around them. The forest is slowly being transformed into a more varied plantation of many species of trees which will be a much nicer habitat for wild life. I will check out Yowie Hunters, thanks for your comment.

Great vid as usual. Been up Harwood twice camping recently and got hammered by them midges. The little swines.
@Fell_Wanderer3 жыл бұрын
I don't like going when the midges are that bad. They will be there until the weather cools in the Autumn or we have some wind which keeps them away. I was at Harwood once where the midges were everywhere, in my ears, nose and mouth. I couldn't bear it and had to leave, I bought a midge net soon afterwards. Was watching one of your video the other day, you said midge nets were sold out and I'm not surprised, they have come early this year. Its funny how conifer forests like Kielder and Harwood get more midges than other places?. Thrunton is the same, your best off up a hill than in the forest this time of year.

Lol in NZ that hand signal is gangster love it!!!
@Fell_Wanderer3 жыл бұрын
Never heard it being a gangster gesture. Some people have mentioned the sign as the devil horns but I'm not religious so it doesn't effect me and see it purely an innocent hand gesture. People thinking is what gives it meaning, a bit like the OK sign being white supremacy or the swastika being Nazi, but has been around for thousands of years before Hitler. I guess if people get offended they should watch someone elses channel. I get people telling me what content I should do but you wouldn't tell an author what to write or a musician what music they should do. The thing is, you can't please everyone on KZbin no matter what I do.
