Great mountain and glad you got that sunrise. We walked up the start of the same path you did, but broke right up the steep grassy side to a different mountain and then turned left following the direction of that path, but on top of the ridge. We then broke right to another summit, before turning back on ourselves to the memorial along that ridge, then the mountain that you camped on, further along that Ridgeway - which is a great walk - to two more summits... Then back along the Ridgeway through some of the boggy bits, left to another summit, back to the boggy bits and then past where you headed down onto two more summits before heading back to the car... What a place but it very nearly broke me!

Okay, well now you've explained all of that, I can see why that walk took you an entire day and left your broken! What a mission! 💪

Mate, I came across your channel while searching for Osprey Exos in one of your videos. As an outdoors enthusiast; I enjoyed every bit of this video as brought lots of memories during my visits in Snowdonia. Great shots and editing. Now I live in Australia, a great country but miss the great British country. But the attitude of that guy on that bridge though 😉
@joinmeoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot for this comment, it is much appreciated. Australia must be very different to Snowdonia! Haha I know, I hope I don't bump into that bridge guy again 😉

And on the 2nd day the weather gods smiled and the sun came out.....stunning views! Great video, like the style and narrative, most amusing! Always good to be somewhere in the hills in your own space and being able to take in such a moment in time.....not been to that area although very familiar with Snowdonia so have to plan that one in sometime.

Thanks Chris! I think those moments are all the more special when you get to experience them in silence. I felt very fortunate. I was going to go Cadair Idris, but sought out somewhere quieter at the last minute, knowing how busy Cadair Idris can get at weekends. I'm still keen to visit it though. I'm sure you'd enjoy Aran Fawddwy! Thanks for watching 😊

Your best yet James, 🥇🥇🥇and all the others were good. Great camera work and narration. However you appear to have bought the special edition pop up SC1. Mine doesn’t do that trick though I have tried! 17kg 💪!!! I thought my regular 12kg was heavy. Keep them coming. Great stuff. Hopefully I’ll be in the Lakes Thursday night. ATB. Must try that chocolate pud!

Thanks Pete! 🙏 The tent grenade is just the ticket when you want to hide away from the cloud! 😉 I'd love a 12 kg pack weight, but my food and drink alone were around 4 kg of that weight, and my rucksack itself is over 2 kg. Thursday should be a good test of your new sleep mat then I hope? Here's hoping you get some good weather! Take it easy and thank you for your support ✌️

My kit x-over (SC1, elevation 600) continues...Also bought a flextail pump. Also kicking myself for not getting the lantern version and still taking a different LED lantern with me. Love the tent "bomb" and time lapses were phenomenal.
@joinmeoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Oh that's funny! The Tiny Pump X doesn't necessarily even cost more than the non-lantern version, so we definitely slipped up there. Not sure how long I can resist the upgrade. Glad you enjoyed the video, Dean 👍

Skip to the bits that you like??? I liked every minute of it mate. Excellent video and I would say it’s your best. Views were incredible and I love the edits within the video. I hope you had a strongly worded conversation with that fool at the end for ruining your outro. All the best, Ash
@joinmeoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, Ash! I'm not going to kid myself by pretending that everyone wants to hear me banging on about pegs and pump for 25 minutes, but I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah that troll under the bridge was a bit inconvenient. Hopefully he won't feature in future videos, but you never know... ATB James.

@@joinmeoutdoors I like him… you will have to locate more bridges to bump into his cousins etc..
Made up it cleared for you after such a mission to get there ☺️ I spend alot of time in Snowdonia and feel the same way as you described on the approach every single time. Something special about the mountains. Hills are great, mountains are better ☺️ Really enjoying the content. Stay safe and well mate. Adge.

I was made up too! Some places really stir the soul, don't they? I'm really keen to get back to Snowdonia. You've clearly found a good playground there. Thanks for watching, and I'm really happy to hear that you're enjoying the videos.

Hows the flextail gear? I was going to get one because I hate the pump sack on my xtherm too.. was thinking of getting the one with lantern as I like the idea of having a pump/lantern combined
@joinmeoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
It's an absolute winner. I love it and should have bought it months ago - that Thermarest pump sack is truly pants. Get the one with the lantern and you're living the high life. It also sucks the air out of the mat afterwards too, for a really easy roll-up before packing away.
