Awesome trip Chloe, the more you do it, the better your sleep will get, eventually it’ll become the best nights sleep you can get! Xx

Now that would be the dream! In my head I was hoping it would work that way but I had no idea if that's true of others... it's nice to know it could end up being a reality!x

@@ChloeRoseHarrison for sure, our dna is designed for the natural world, you go outside in the daytime and you feel at peace, because you know what you are getting, you’ve done it 100 times. Soon nights will be the same, and that damp air, the smell of a wet forest, the sound of the wind through the trees, and the rustle of the creatures will become as big a part of your calm as day does. Trust me, it’ll give your heartbeat a new rhythm. Xx

Chloe, your mom is a real trooper. The Banana cake was key. I can’t believe your mom gave it another go. Hahaha. Great job ladies. I’m impressed. Chloe, your my favorite new creator here on KZbin!

Thank you so much Peter, that is an incredible compliment! I feel so fortunate that I have a Mum who is interested/physically able to do this stuff with me. The banana cake was a saviour for sure!

I love that your mum comes with you, I’m really quite envious! And 3hrs sleep sounds ok to me! I’m sure you’re moving somewhere where it’s a hell of a lot easier to wild camp…
@ChloeRoseHarrison2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I feel so lucky that she can/wishes to come with me! It's definitely helped ease me in to starting wild camping, as I only really know one other person who might come with me. You're right, it could have been a whole lot worse than 3 hours! I may well be...

Hey Chloe, what more can one ask for cake and tea in the rain !! I couldn’t of said it any better some times you need to bail … I had to on my last one Glad you got straight back on it. I’ve got one more hike planned for Monday and then im smashing the wild camping, watching you us just really makes me want to get out there but I’ve had certain hikes planned I couldn’t change … certainly getting back on it Nice one chole and speak soon ⛺️⛰🥾
@ChloeRoseHarrison2 жыл бұрын
My thoughts exactly! If anything the rain makes it all taste even better. What made you have to bail - weather or something? Oooo I look forward to maybe seeing a wild camp video pop up soon then! Although I love a good hike equally as much. Thanks Alan, take care!

Hello dear Chloe! Oh this was a blast to watch! I had to laugh when your mom was the one who brought the whiskey and you brought the tea hahaha good to know you both know when to go for it and when it's safest to try it another time. I would've freaked out with that thunder storm hanging over me lol. That view was gorgoues and so was that big old tree, beautiful! Love it when you share details of what insects and animals you see. Such fun little details you put into your videos!! Your dog is the absolute cutest finding balls, chewing on sticks and eating a carrot hahaha my dog loves vegetables too. That spot you chose to sleep was so beautiful with the branches hanging over you like a natural tent, and that morning atmosphere - stunning!!! Thank you for another wonderful adventure, I througouhly enjoyed it!!

It was a great contrast of beverages for sure haha! The thunderstorm was worrisome, especially since it wasn't forecast! We had no way of knowing if it would pass or not, but it was still worth the trip out for those views you mention, so lovely. Vegetables seem like the ultimate treat to dogs don't they! If only they were as tasty to us as sweet treats! It was such a cosy spot, I was glad to have stumbled across it completely by chance. Thank you so much Frederike!

Good going Chloe. Result the second timer around and a very reasonable spot you chose. Your mum of course woke up to the very same sounds and vibrations of D earth so you both no doubt resonated. It's so good to resonate that way - life is good. All the best for the week ahead. Mark

Hi Chloe. I'm definitely going camping with your Mum :-) Never be too stubborn to abandon a trip/walk/camp because of the weather. Wherever you were going will still be there for another time. Loved the panorama from Leith Hill. Often for me, the best views are from lesser heights where the top is fairly isolated from other hills, giving the impression of being taller than it actually is & allowing a great panoramic view. 2 classic examples of this in my experience are Black Crag near Hawkshead in the Lake District & Suilven near Lochinver in the NW of Scotland. Congrats on your rapidly increasing subs - so well deserved. Looking forward to hearing about your move xx

She'd welcome you along (as would I!) - camping alone has amazing perks but it's been equally fun to camp alongside others who enjoy it just as much. That is such an interesting point - I've never thought of that but now you've mentioned it I completely agree. You seem to have such wonderful knowledge of the UK's wilder places, I hope I can build up to your level. Thank you so much Michael! It's lovely to be able to interact with more people now, it's such a wonderful community. All the best :) x

Really lovely video, some lovely shots and some poetic descriptions. Fair play for sleeping out without any kind of bug protection, not sure I could do that!
@ChloeRoseHarrison2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! In all honesty I slept out without protection completely out of naivety and not considering the bugs more than anything else! Having said that, that area didn't have any bugs around to speak of, so it was fine. In a different location I doubt I would have got off so lightly!

@@ChloeRoseHarrison I've got a bug mesh bivvy that weighs just 250g that you can either clip to a branch or tree, or use a couple of trekking poles to put up. Works well with a tarp. Cheap as well.

Is Chanctonbury Ring higher than where you were? I've got a picture of myself on Chanctonbury c.1992 and it looks as high if not higher. I suppose it depends where you measure it from. On a walk up from Cissbury it's not all that high but looking over all the countryside in the other direction once there it does look high.
@ChloeRoseHarrison2 жыл бұрын
Good question... I live quite close to Chanctonbury Ring so often go up there and you're right, it does seem higher. Google says its 242m, so actually lower than Leith Hill, but I guess it all depends on the elevation of the surrounding land. Both hills have gorgeous views though!

Lovely video. I have five daughters and enjoy camping with them. We've bailed when it was the sensible thing to do; never be afraid to pack up before it gets hairy. (see my video on the family 'Hang-In in Belangalo Forest 90km/h-130km/h winds are never fun to camp in!) Subbed
