Have come to take a look after you got a mention by Trevor (Summit or Nothing) I’ve subscribed to your channel and will work my way through all your previous videos too. I used to wild camp, but that was several years ago. I’ve decided to start again next year so have been watching many KZbinrs recently, to get in the mood and help me decide on what new kit I need. I have a lightweight tent and some equipment, but I think I deserve some new gear now ... just hope my wife agrees. I have made a few videos too, the majority showing Ships on the Tyne, but like all of us, I am still learning

Hey Brian thanks for watching and taking the time to comment I really appreciate it 👍 Depending on what you need and what your budget it I recommend the OEX bobcat as a true single man tent with plenty of vestibule space, or either a lanshan 2 or cloud peak 2 if you want a bit more space available.. good luck with the wife and just don’t tell her the true cost of anything 👍 LOL

@@BulldogBadger thanks! The Cloud Peak 2 certainly gets many good reviews and looks good. I do have a Vango Spectre 200, but I fancy something new now. One of my kids could use this if they fancy coming camping again. Regards !

@@brianmorrison9168 I think the beauty of the cloud peak 2 is it will stand up to some pretty gnarly weather conditions and has plenty of room inside to move around and store your kit, so on these long dark nights it doesn’t feel so restrictive when your in it for 12-14 hours, some of the one man tents are like coffins and no fun if the weather is bad (as is usual for the UK)

Im 5’ 10” and I fit ok in it, the dimensions for the width are cozy but has a huge porch area, and you can sit up in it unlike other tents like the phoxx 1 or 2 which is a god send at this time of year when the nights are long or the rain is howling, thanks for watching mate much appreciated 👍🍻

Loved it dude. This is one of my all time favorite places. I used to go up there as a youngster and watch the hang gliding. A steep ascent but a good gauge I'd say. Depends what your after but this is perfect for me, can have it up and down in ten mins, blends in so pretty stealth, can sit up inside it and had enough room for my pack and dog.. and it packs down tiny.. I got a vango beast for taking the family but wouldn’t want to carry that up a mountain LOL - thanks for watching mate much appreciated

B A I find it perfect for this kind of trip, its light to carry, and blends into the environment.. everyone says its small and claustrophobic but Im 5’10” and can sit up in it and has a ton of room in the vestibule area.. and if you split the pole and pegs from main tent it packs down tiny

B A thank you! I also like you can either pitch the other first and then put the inner in, or can leave the inner in and pitch together.. a lot of the other oex tents pitch up inner first and can be soaked inside if it’s raining

Callum Lee I personally think so mate, It’s perfect for what I need its small, Stealthy, and has a lot of useable space inside I’m 5’10” and can sit up inside it.. my rotty and pack both have space in the porch and it packs down real small and can be pitched without the inner
